If you're talking about things we need, we need for teachers not to quit in March. Vaccinated or unvaccinated. But we don't get what we need, do we?

I'm confused. All year parents on DCUM have been frothing at the mouth screaming IF YOU WON'T GO BACK IN PERSON THEN QUIT! OMG! A TOTALLY UNQUALIFIED WARM BODY IN PERSON IS BETTER THAN AN EXPERIENCED REMOTE TEACHER.

No, I'm glad that teachers who don't want to teach are quitting. Sorry "taking leave". They should have done that before getting the vaccine. But at least they've finally gotten around to quitting, which they should have done earlier.

Yes! If my kid ends up with the crappiest teachers because the good ones all left that will really show those dang teachers.

Our poor kids. The good teachers are bad and the bad teachers are terrible. Teacher supporters are the worst!

I’ve been told I’m pretty good and was even shown screenshots from a parent fb group about how engaging I am and how I provide appropriate levels of screen time. But comments like yours are why I don’t think I want to teach next year. Thanks for helping me make my decision.

They’re losers, ignore them. People who say stuff like that can’t be taken seriously. It’s tantruming. If all teachers were really bad they wouldn’t be trying so hard for their kids to be with us 40 hours a week and claiming without us they aren’t learning.

+1 Even the worst teacher has to be better than any of them. I mean, they can't handle their own kids. What does that say about them? Not much.

I respect they’re probably not bad parents. But it does not logically follow that someone can be clamoring for school and saying how harmful it is for their kids not to be there, they’re “losing learning” and ALSO say good teachers are bad and bad teachers are horrible. It’s nonsense.
