How could that possibly be your point? If teachers are taking leave of absence because they don’t know how children will be handling their PPE… What you’re saying makes zero sense. |
Well that's their right but unfortunately many are working while feeling very uncomfortable. At least they have an option for a leave of absence. Some "essential workers" don't have that option.
What school system is this in? |
Kids wearing masks is obviously not the reason that these teachers are quitting. So we as parents cannot "fix" this problem by making our children wear masks better. |
they were probably planning on quitting any way but waited until they got the vaccine. |
This is not the FCPS forum. Did you mean that APS or Loudoun would have better safety protocols in place? ![]() |
Probably not what happened, but don't lose any chance you get to sh1t on teachers! |
DP. Apparently not. |
I hope there are penalties in the contract for mid-year unplanned absences. They should also face stiff penalties if they got vaccinated first. |
for the record leave of absence is quitting they will be back in the fall. |
It's demonstrably what happened. Sorry that it makes them look bad when they do things that make them look bad. |
I know very few teachers who have actually been able to get a vaccine. What are you talking about? Not surprising they are taking leave. |
Put your tally notebook away. |
No, it's not. Stop lying. |
You could write on the LOA form that you wanted it to go into effect when in person teaching resumed. That way it was more flexible. I suspect that's what happened. You can't just decide to go on an LOA and leave the following week, unless there is an unforeseen emergency of some kind. |
Not true in APS. Basically everyone who wants one has had their first dose. Most are now getting their second dose. |
