I started watching yesterday night and binge watched the first 8 episodes, it was so good.
I'm going to try to stretch out the last few. Anyone else watching? I really like it but it looks like it has terrible reviews. |
Is this based on the book? |
Yes |
| I watched the first 3 episodes yesterday. It's not great, but I like it enough to keep going. It's entertaining and I like Katherine Heigl. The different looks of Sarah Chalk on the show are pretty amazing; her from the 80's compared to the current. |

I randomly picked up the book at a vacation house a few years back. Cheesy, but entertaining. What can I say, female friendships spanning the decades a la Beaches? I’m a sucker for it
Saw the negative reviews but I’m liking the Netflix series so far. I’m loving Sarah Chalke in the role, along with the actress playing young Kate. Just finished up episode 2. |
| This is a total “chick show” right? I need one of those in my life right now |
| I watched the first episode last night and liked it so far. It's a total chick show. |
This, just finished the first and its mindless entertainment. Will keep going! |
100% I read the book years ago. It's not my normal type of book, and I sobbed. I didn't bother reading book 2 (Fly Away). I enjoyed the first episode. I'm not sure why it has poor reviews, but again it's been 5-6 years. I do remember it's cheesy chick lit. I'll watch the show slowly, whenever i get a moment to myself. I hate trying to watch reality tv or chick shows with my husband's commentary in my ear. |
Yup, pandemic chicken soup tv. |
Sarah Chalke is wonderful in the role, much more appealing than Heigl. |
| I just started but the editing was driving me nuts during the hook up scene where Katherine heigel (sp?) had a different necklace on before/during/after the hookup! |
| Heigl is overdoing it with the fillers, and her character is so annoying. |
Her character is annoying in the book too. |
Agreed. I’m not a big Heigl fan but the casting is spot on. She plays a good Tully. |
