Firefly Lane on Netflix

I thought the actor who played Max was amazing looking. The camera loves him. He’s not my cup of tea but I loved looking at him. I thought the two actresses who played them as teens were fabulous. Being a dark brunette does not suit Heigl at all. And while she naturally has a full face she absolutely has had work done. She was moon faced and looked bizarre. The constant “hit you over the head” references to products and cultural references to establish timing felt so unnatural and forced. It’s not going to win any awards but The show was fun though.

Spoiler.... With questions....

So at the beginning we're supposed to think it's Tully's funeral, right? Mara even says "I miss her." And Kate said "I do, too." So then when it's clear that it's not Tully, I thought they were taking about Kate's mom or even possibly Cloud, though that would be weird.

So if they miss "her" so much, why can't Kate forgive Tully?

I agree with pp's conjecture that Johnny may survive but then Tully sleeps with him (again) when he comes back.

Yes people claiming Katherine Heigl’s wrinkle-free face is just full and round are delusional. She clearly had fillers, those are not natural cheeks and she has zero lines on her face. And dark brunette looks terrible on her.

That being said the young actresses were my favorite part of the show. They were adorable. And Johnny is hot.

I disagree about KH. I thought she looked beautiful as a brunette (and as a blonde). And I don’t think she’s had any work done at all. Her face looks as round and full as it did when she was younger. I have the same kind of face and it’s fullness always makes me look heavy when I’m actually not - I hate it. But she’s beautiful with her round cheeks and it just makes her look younger.

Possibly Botox, though she’s only 42. Fillers, no. She has no need for them.

Anonymous wrote:It was COVID quarantine entertaining, which I am grateful for. With that said, absolutely agreed Kate would never pick the EA guy over her husband and they had zero chemistry. That was not believable. But for me, Katherine Heigl in the role with her current look was also unbelievable in the role. I liked the teenage Tully but it was next to impossible to believe that the Tully character was some sort of desirable vixen. It seemed so off. She looked so unattractive.

Adult Tully was confident and believed in her own sexiness, and she was sexually adventurous, so men respond to her as if she is unbelievably sexy. You don’t have to look like a model to be sexy.

Also famous and rich.

Something about him reminded me of Matt Bomer a bit.

The emotional affair guy was also on Being Erica, the awesome Canadian series. Kind of in a similar role there, too.

I love my cheesy dramas, but this just felt tortured to me. Couldn't make it past the first episode.

It gets better after the first episode. I actually loved the switching between decades and thought they captured each era really well. I agree that Sara Chalke, while good, has no sexual chemistry with any of the actors. The young Tully and Kate are really good and I want to move to Seattle and right into Kate’s house.

+1
Agree with all of the above. The young Tully and Kate were wonderful - great casting. I think the weakest links were Sarah Chalke and Cloud.

I think poster used these pics to show that Katherine has always had a full face. I have the same face, full and round

Her cheeks were also not that hard looking 15 years ago. Of course she's using fillers.
