They will. There is also a second book. |

I get that Tully is supposed to be the annoying, self-centered one in the show and she can definitely be over the top, but I found Kate to actually be much more selfish and attention seeking.
|
I think that is the point. They both are in their own ways. Kate needed her brother to really point that out. In the book Kate’a perfect family life really hurt Tully, even though Tully is the “asshole”. |
| I didn't like the Max Brody story line. She was such an asshole to him. She deserved what she got. |
|
I’m midway through this series. My thoughts:
I find Sarah Chalke incredibly annoying, with her constant loping/running through every scene. Very manic. Tully’s mom (the strung out hippie) is a terrible actress. I still can’t figure out why Kate and her husband are separated?? And finally, Kate’s house is absolutely gorgeous! |
+1. She looks freakish with those fillers. |
Kate exchanged flirty texts with the PTA dad. Emotional affair. |
I didn’t understand her addiction. What’s she addicted to? |
+1 I always thought she was stunningly beautiful. I feel like she totally messed up her face. |
Weed and alcohol. |
I think this was after her husband decided he didn't want to be a boring suburban dad anymore, wanted an exciting life reporting in war zones like he'd always envisioned. |
DP. I honestly don’t think she’s had any fillers at all. She’s always had a very full face - look at some of her older movies. She just has very plump cheeks. |

Kate/Sarah Chalke is the most unsexy woman. Every scene with her kissing or trying to be romantic actually turns my stomach.
That said the guy who plays her emotional crush is incredibly off-putting to me also. |
A lot of the childhood stuff is true to the book but I like how author decided to change their future trajectory to what also might have been. |
