Pure anti-semitism.

Pretty sad when a party rejects a candidate based on his religion in 2024.

He pulled out, he wasn't passed over, and Senator Schumer would disagree about anti-semitism in the party.

Workshopping that one, eh? Shapiro also had voucher problems, but right wing activists aren't going to be highlighting that Harris chose a teacher instead because of the pro-public education activists.

The Tim LaHaye evangelicals in the GOP, looking for signs of the Apocalypse everywhere, have to turn this into some kind of holy war issue. Freaks.

So if you’re against socialism, then you support ending social security and Medicare, right?

DP
I’m fine with them. Pretty sure they’ve been around for longer than I have, and we are not a socialist country.
But good try.

How do you draw the line between socialism and a social safety net, then?

And is it different if we're saving corporations rather than poor people? (Won't somebody think of the CEOs!?)

He stopped by to take your dog for a walk, too, since he knows you twisted your ankle

So Walz got pulled over for speeding 30 years ago and Trump was a convicted felon in 2024.

Both sides, right?

“How often in 100 days do you get to change the trajectory of the world? How often in 100 days do you get to do something that’s going to impact generations to come?” Walz asked. “And how often in the world do you make that bastard wake up afterwards and know that a Black woman kicked his ass, sent him on the road?”

LFG!

+1. He can do attack dog if he needs to.

Boom. Bringing up one DUI from a long time ago in a rural location only emphasizes Trump’s more serious convictions.

26 felony convictions. Liable for sexual abuse.

This was exactly my reaction to this news. How you all are celebrating the anti-semitism of the far left that this choice has given its stamp of approval for is beyond me. This is not a "unifying" choice, unless your version of the Democratic party expunges a whole lot of Jews. PA is going to go to Trump.

“Eustice, an Ortonville teacher who describes himself as nonpartisan, said he unequivocally supports the governor’s version of events.

‘I love him as a soldier, I don’t care much for him as a politician,’ Eustice said of Walz.

Eustice said he recalled talking to Walz in 2005 when they were at Camp Ripley. He said Walz told him he was thinking about resigning the guard and running for Congress.

‘The man did nothing wrong when he chose to leave the service; he didn’t break any rules,’ he said.”

Full blown. It's all trans in bathrooms and George Floyd/riots! That's all they got. Wait until they start hearing him speak! This is going to be delicious.

The riots and overall breakdown of law and order in our cities is where the Democrats are most vulnerable. Expect to hear about Kamala’s San Francisco and Tim’s Minneapolis nonstop for the next three months.

Did January 6th not happen? I don't understand how GOP are so concerned about some riots and not others. It's weird.

Bingo

All riots should be equally disdained regardless of the issue behind it because more often than not it's some nut job extremist thugs who don't actually care about the issue behind it....but as such should also be equally prosecuted and equally thought of as wrong regardless of the issue. It's never ok to destroy property regardless of the issue or topic period.

I agree. I read an article about The riots in MN and poor reaction time. Walz was very honest about it all and how it was not handled well. Now contrast that with Trump who still thinks January 6th was a good thing.

He was serving in the National Guard at that time- why was he allowed to keep his career? DUI/DWI is a career ending event.

How about rape?

Don’t ask, don’t tell.

In 1999, Walz agreed to be the faculty advisor of the first gay-straight alliance at Mankato West High School. In the 90s, when it wasn't easy. He said something to the effect that of course he would do it, since the backing of the straight, older, football coach should show others that being an ally was the right thing to do.

That's real f'in leadership.

Am I the only one who thinks of Little House on the Prairie anytime someone says Mankato?

I live in Minnesota and sometimes, yes. More when I hear about Walnut Grove or Sleepy Eye I think of Little House on the Prairie.

The GOP voted for George W Bush and this issue wasn't problematic. Walz's charges were reduced to reckless driving. Walz was fined $200 plus court costs, which include the costs of the police alcohol test. He no longer drinks alcohol so apparently learned from this incident.
