Only one month into the war, and Ukraine has killed 7 Russian generals:

Lt. Gen. Andrei Mordvichev
Lt. Gen. Yakov Rezantsev
Maj. Gen. Vitaliy Gerasimov
Maj. Gen. Andrei Kolesnikov
Maj. Gen. Oleg Mityaev
Maj. Gen. Andrei Sukhovetskiy
Maj. Gen Magomed Tushaev

To be fair, however, one of the 7 generals died at the hands of his own men, who blame him personally for the senseless deaths of their comrades.

Putin: you cannot win Ukraine.

You CAN lose your military, your life, and your legacy.

Take whatever deal Zelensky offers you while you are still breathing (it might not be much longer, Vlad).

How many generals would you have in an Army this size? I think it’s 200,000 total armed forces?

Once Russia inevitably withdraws will it be forced to pay any reparations to rebuild Ukraine?

Yes. Russia will go back to the Stone Age and the Russians will not even notice.

The question is how many generals in a similar sized operation would a modern army lose? Every general killed in action represents a total failure. You have to protect your COC.

PP here and I absolutely agree. Just wondering what the percentage of generals who have been killed is/might be.

It is an impossible question. Militaries around the world can name anyone a general.
They can have 2 people report to them.

In the US a 2 star has 20,000 or so. But our flag officers now have at least one masters, many who lead major commands have phd’s.

I worked at a command where only ADM or USAF general had to have 4 stars and phd.

In combat situations a 1-2 star General would command 15000ish or less.

So most likely 20 ish generals in the COC of this task force. That is getting close to 50% after 6 weeks?

Yes, they lost contact and were presumed dead, but it turns out some of them were taken alive. The record was corrected a few weeks ago when Ukraine became aware of it.

A commenter to a different tweet about this medal ceremony asked if he's single, and someone responded that his mother says he's single and that he's always been brave! LOL

So --- A force this size int he US would have a four star in command in theater. Possibly another four star in forward command but likely not. Stormin Norman was the only 4 star in the First Gulf War. Each corp woul;d have a three star, a two star deputy, and 3 1-2 stars in key slots. Each would then have perhaps 3 divisions with three 1-2 starts each -- so each corp could have 14 general officers. Probably 3 corps. 36 general officers.

That you spelled “corps” “corp” twice tells me know nothing of what you scrawled. Stick to your cubicle, Patton.

It won’t be long before the remaining generals turn on Putin.

Vladimir Putin is literally a dead man walking.
