Is it a marriage red flag when a couple only has one child? One daughter?

Two couples we're close with only have one daughter each. The gals are both entering 5th and 7th grade, so it seems the two couples are done with kids. Odd, yeah? I feel like a single child with one boy, the so called male heir, is less strange.

We have one son entering 6th.

I think your post is incredibly offensive and bizarre. What has happened to you to cause you to think peoples’ totally normal and valid family choices (or circumstances) signal anything?

Yikes.

You feel like? Your feelings aren’t valid. At all. Maybe don’t volunteer them anymore.

I once read a thing about couples with only daughters being more likely to dicorce, but I never made any assumptions about my friends with only daughters.

You must be from a backward country, where women aren’t valued and people aren’t free to make their own decisions regarding family size.

Welcome to the US and welcome to the 21st century.
