I feel like you're a sexist idiot. |

There are many reasons a couple would only have one child. Also, it seems girls are generally more desired these days (at least among the people I know).
Signed, A mom of all boys |
| Umm I just wanted one child and not more? Son is 13 and we are as happily married as any happily married couple. |
|
Geez. Even the Queen of England agreed to change the line of succession so that the oldest child would inherit regardless of sex.
|
| Um... what? The male heir? Are you and your friends royalty/aristocracy? What is this male inheriting? Is the implication here that anyone who has a daughter must then continue to have more children in a quest for a male child? Just trying to untwist this logic... |
| WTF, what century is this? |
| OP, perhaps these couples may have lost a second or even third child and you just don't know about it. |
Or they just want one kid. It's not always a situation with other explanations. Some of us just want one kid. |
|
Wait what? Weird. I have lots of friends with only 1 kid. For a variety of reasons. For several of them, that child is a girl. For some, it's a boy. Not a single couple decided to stay at only 1 child because of the sex/gender of the child. It was because they only wanted, or could only have, 1 child.
|
Ditto. What a bizarre OP. |
| Your question is a red flag that you are a nut job, and clearly need more serious issues to ponder. |
|
Phew. I am so glad that my one kid turned out to be a boy so we have a male heir. Massive relief over here, 9 years later.
Always only wanted one kid. Had that kid been a girl, there would still be only one. You're a wacko, OP. |
| Marriage red flag for who? How are you involved in their marriage? |
+1, except that our only is a girl. +1,000,000 on OP being a wacko. |
| Weirdo |
