they don't care. The calculus is simple- the corporations want favorable tax/employment/environmental (especially the energy companies) laws and regulations, so they support republicans. For republicans to get elected, they need the christian base so you get politicians who oppose abortion, but also oppose taxes and unions. That's a win for business

Make them care. They can't function without customers. I don't have to give mo ey to exxon if I can help it.

who are you shifting purchases too that doesn't have offices in Texas?

It's going to be really difficult to avoid oil & gas purchases that aren't Houston based.

Focus on IT & air - Dell, Tesla, Southwest, American Airlines, AT&T

If you have At&T mobile, call them now and switch to Verizon. That's something "easy" that almost everyone can do. If you fly, take another airlines - United? Delta? buy Apple not Dell.

NO they can not. If they do some moron can literally kill them with zero consequences.

Anyone sending a boy or a girl to any red state moving forward is an idiot. This is not going to end well. Some family will lose a child to vigilante justice. UGH

Wow. Such hate from the tolerant left.

Ironic statement, given the actions of the right.

But aren't we supposed to be better than them? Very disappointing....

No. That's a loser's game. We have to fight. Stop wringing your hands and do something.

So if they don't agree with us, we fight them?

Great. I'm going to fly one-way down to Texas on AA to buy a dell computer. While down there, I'll rent a tesla. Then fly back Southwest. All while traveling with my AT&T cell phone. Thanks for letting me know!

Of course. How do you think this works? We have a society where people have different ideas and we have a system to settle the differences. Work on getting that ridiculous law changed. How do you think they got the ridiculous law? They organized and voted in representatives to write it and pass it.

Exactly. Put your money where your mouth is and I will do the same. Later At&T.

What’s the option? Polite them into not sending vigilante mobs after women seeking health care?

I would like to see big businesses move their headquarters from TX - because of the corruption related to the power grid, anti-democratic voting laws, stupid loose gun laws, the governor seems to be actively trying to kill citizens with poor, anti-science COVID protocols, and now woman-hating legislation. I have a rising college senior. I've been uninterested in states that share many of these characteristics, but TX is just out of control.

It's ok, I just added additional lines to my AT&T account. Didn't even need them, but now all the household iPads have cell connectivity. Sweet.

Anonymous wrote:Hey, crazy libs----you are such freaking hypocrites! The party of tolerance is only tolerant towards those that agree with them. I for one have a freshman daughter in a private college in TX and am ecstatic about the Supreme Court decision.

Hope she doesn’t get raped, take the abortion pill, have an incomplete abortion and be unable to go to a hospital. And die. And yes, it could happen to your daughter.

So many places my beautiful, smart daughter can go. Why would she go somewhere that views her as less than human or less important than a six week old embryo?

And make no mistake. I saw Ds’s heartbeat at 5 weeks. Some people ovulate early.

No really. We’d just get gerrymandered.

Your parents should be ashamed of the adults they raised.

pass extreme legislation, get compared to extremists

+1 assault weapons everyone, no free and fair elections, a theocracy where women are less than men.

Sounds like the Taliban.

Yep. It's already the case. And the TX government is doing all they can to keep people they don't like from voting. I would never live in Texas and will do my best to avoid doing businesses with companies headquartered there.
