Hope she doesn’t get raped, take the abortion pill, have an incomplete abortion and be unable to go to a hospital. And die. And yes, it could happen to your daughter.

Dramatic much?

And make no mistake. I saw Ds’s heartbeat at 5 weeks. Some people ovulate early.

No need to have our sons involved in that mess either. Find a better state.

NO they can not. If they do some moron can literally kill them with zero consequences.

Anyone sending a boy or a girl to any red state moving forward is an idiot. This is not going to end well. Some family will lose a child to vigilante justice. UGH

Wow. Such hate from the tolerant left.

Ironic statement, given the actions of the right.

But aren't we supposed to be better than them? Very disappointing....

Has anyone forcefully stormed the Texas Capitol and threatened to overthrow the TX legislature? No? Then we are better.

they don't care. The calculus is simple- the corporations want favorable tax/employment/environmental (especially the energy companies) laws and regulations, so they support republicans. For republicans to get elected, they need the christian base so you get politicians who oppose abortion, but also oppose taxes and unions. That's a win for business

Make them care. They can't function without customers. I don't have to give mo ey to exxon if I can help it.

who are you shifting purchases too that doesn't have offices in Texas?

It's going to be really difficult to avoid oil & gas purchases that aren't Houston based.

Focus on IT & air - Dell, Tesla, Southwest, American Airlines, AT&T

Great. I'm going to fly one-way down to Texas on AA to buy a dell computer. While down there, I'll rent a tesla. Then fly back Southwest. All while traveling with my AT&T cell phone. Thanks for letting me know!

Exactly. Put your money where your mouth is and I will do the same. Later At&T.

It's ok, I just added additional lines to my AT&T account. Didn't even need them, but now all the household iPads have cell connectivity. Sweet.

How does it feel to be a part of the knucklehead 15% who support this crap in the DMV? You realize we know who you are and laugh at you, right? Someday, your kids are going to hang their heads in shame when they think of you. And then they will later store your ashes in the back of their closet.

Op your envy of kids who get to go to school in Texas is palatable

Ever worked for a prosecutor? I interned for a prosecutor for ine intern and saw multiple cases, including a case where 13 year old girl was raped and impregnated by her uncle. But her life should be garbage right? Let's cause permanent physical and psychological harm to that child be forcing her to give birth.

Will you force your DD to have her rapist's baby if she gets raped? What about a 12 yr old girl who gets raped and becomes pregnant? Talk about crazy.

How many foster care children in TX have you adopted?

Yup, guns on campus, oppressive government, COVID rates through the roof, ERCOT leaving people to die to save some $$, revisionist history, total lack of decent public schooling in primary years, high crime rates - what's not to be envious of?

I go back home to Texas plenty. I always wonder if we should move back to be closer to family. Each time, I say no because I want my kids to have a decent education and not be exposed to so many gun loons. I don't think anyone in the DMV is missing out on much. Except maybe better food.

Better food is a solvable problem vs having your college kid pursued by some vigilante because he or she discusses reproductive rights with a friend or roomie , etc.

I believe everyone is entitled to their opinions, even if they are different than mine. You all want the world to reflect only yours. Comparing conservatives to the Taliban?! Your parents should be ashamed of the adults they raised.

That is what the Taliban says to the western world, “stop treading on me just because I want to impose extremist rules.”

Sound familiar Mrs/mr I am tolerant conservative.

1) The law doesn't prevent abortion. It prevents safe, legal abortion.

2) If your DC goes to school in TX, you'll end up paying taxes on goods and services, including tuition, that remits to the state. You'll be paying Abbott's salary. If my DC was signed up to go there for school, they'd be taking a gap year and applying elsewhere.

UT Austin alumn actively discouraging my daughter from applying to any Texas schools. So sad as I really wanted another Longhorn in the family. Thrilled that I left and ended up in VA.
