Not really. No one is restricting their choices. They are free to no have an abortion in a “blue” state. The reverse cannot be said in TX. At least without some vigilantes harassing them.

Whatever semantics games the anti choicers want to play changes nothing. If you don't want to be exposed to a law enforced by untrained vigilantes instead of trained law enforcement professionals, stay the hell out of texas and advise your students to do the same.

If you really cared you wouldn't even if required by your job. Let them fire you, there are other jobs. Take a stand.

I have coworkers in Austin. They are privileged enough to go to a different state if they need an abortion. This law just punishes the poor, like all the voting restriction laws.

Agree. Would NEVER subject my child to Taliban-controlled Texas.

Stop comparing it to the Taliban, as if this mindset is somehow not endemic to this country. This is Christian white supremacy at work—an entirely American phenomenon.

And just as oppressive as the Taliban. The comparison is apt.

It’s islamaphobic.

And make no mistake. I saw Ds’s heartbeat at 5 weeks. Some people ovulate early.

No organs are formed by 5 weeks.

Oh yes go to Texas for college let your kid swing in the wind when one of the GOP house representatives Bounty Hunters goes after your kid boy or girl. Not like that is not their twitter handle.

Great idea to send your kid to a state that doesn't want to be part of a Democracy.

The most disturbing part of this bill is the vigilantism. Regardless if you support abortion or not, turning private citizens into bounty hunters is troubling. I don’t understand how anyone could support this.

It's unacceptable so don't accept it and stay out of there.

Again, impotent rage.

Again what does that mean? The well off in texas will continue to get abortions else where as always. This law will not stop that as it never has and never will. The vigilantes will go after the poor.
