Soccer
What sin? God you are a fool. |
You seem frustrated. Is your 5 cent brain (that was your term) having a hard time dealing with the fact that ASA put their coaches and staff above those most at risk and essential towards keeping the country moving? I suspect greed is good in your world. |
| Of course not. Sports are nothing, and definitely not essential. |
What is the sin? You do understand that anyone can go to a vaccine site and wait. If appointments do not show up they will give whoever is there the shot. It is either that or the doses degrade and need to be thrown away. You are far to invested in a non-issue. |
You need help. Whether or not the coaches should have gotten vaccines, your perseveration on ASA is crazy. Get a hobby or job and move on. |

To answer the question, essential or not, sports and similar activities are allowed under current Phase 3 guidelines. So as long as groups of 20 or people or exposure to 20 or people for a prolonged period of time, as soccer coaches are, they should be vaccinated whenever possible. They can catch it from a player on one team and inadvertently pass it on to players of another team.

God you are a fool. You can’t just go to a vaccine site and wait. |
Huh. The question is when can camp counselors get shots (because that’s what the club labels these people). It is not in phase 1B. This club has serious integrity issues. |
Yes, you can. You will wait until the end of the day but if appointments do not arrive they have to use the shot or throw it away. They would rather use it. |
| So here is what I’ve heard. They got the shots because they are ‘teachers’. They got the shot because they waited until the end of day. They got it because they are part time school coaches. They got it because they have underlying conditions - diabetics. This kind of feels like nailing jello to a wall. |
I don't know why they got the shots but I also don't care. You are being provided with valid reasons at how they could have qualified to get the shots. You're not really entitled to know how they qualified either. |
That got the shots because they put themselves ahead of the community. Simple selfishness. |
They work with the community, they are being responsible. |
Lots of people work with the community. Many in much more important jobs than soccer coaches. Seems wrong that the grocery workers, bus drivers, TSA screeners, and more can’t get vaccines because people like these ASA characters are jumping the line. |
| Has any evidence been cited that coaches are getting vaccines due to their status as coaches, as opposed to their roles as teachers, healthcare providers, etc. away from their coaching positions? |
