As much as I know we need to support journalism, I unsubscribed to the Post after that viscously awful Toles story, and this confirms it. Idiocracy comes to the left, after it devoured the right in 2016

The Post is journalism no more.

They should pay US to read their nonsense and enable their ad money.

No, what's ridiculous (this is the proper spelling of that word, by the way) is to say that you're not attracted to Black men, for example. Because the only thing that all Black men have in common is being "Black". And maybe having a penis. But there's a vast array of different body types, height, hair types, and skin colors among Black men. Not to mention that each Black man is a unique individual, with his own personality, intellect, sense of humor, and sensitivity. To summarily dismiss "Black men" as a monolith to which you are not attracted is racist.

I summarily dismiss the same gender as me since I am not attracted to them. And I dismiss certain hair length believe it or not, even in my race. That doesn't mean I don't see all of the above as equal. I don't need to sleep with everyone to prove my what used to be considered liberal bonafide

+1 if a man is attracted to blondes with blue eyes only he is not going to date an Asian woman. If a woman is not attracted to men who have really really dark skin, she is not going to date very dark black men. That's not about racism. That's about preference and what they are attracted to.

Why is it ok to say someone prefers blondes with a tan skin but not ok to say someone prefers lighter skin?

This. You literally do not choose who you are attracted to.

You are socialized to prefer one skin color over another.

This is proven over and over again in bias training. It's true.

We still get the actual paper and I just did a long vacation stop (we are away for a couple of months) but am seriously considering not restarting. The content is slipping and the actual paper is now about 1/2 as many pages as it used to be. Maybe they've fired all the editors.

The recent unpleasantness? That refers to the Civil War. Didn't that kind of make interracial dating easier, at least after another century or so?

Bias training is about the most biased and the less evidence-based out there.

You know nothing about the lynching of black men upon the accusations of white women, do you? Start with Emmett Till which even the barely educated should know about.

Silly argument. I'm an AA female and although I have found certain white guys attractive, for the purpose of dating I am attracted to black men. A white friend of mine told me she feels the same way, and is only attracted to dating white guys. I took zero offense.

This whole racial discussion over the past few weeks has officially gone too damn far. Geesh. Date whomever the hell you want to date, and don't feel obligated to explain your reasoning to idiots.

Quote from my dad who grew up in Eastern Europe during communist rule. “They would dictate where you could live, what you could wear, what you could read or what music you could listen to, but even those idiots knew not to mess with whom you could date”

lol I love that.

Even if it is biased dating.. so what? you can't tell people what they should be attracted to.

I'm all for BLM, but some of these "woke" people are just bored or crazy.

Wow, black women are lumped in one category when we have the most varied skin tones, textures, and hair colors. Now white women are broken down in subtle nuanced ways.

All the different permutations of blonde white men will express a preference for and never once mean a black woman whether her hair is dyed or naturally blonde.

Thomas Jefferson and Toussaint Charbonneau had no problems doing inter-racial dating long before the Civil War.

So what? I like what I like and you like what you like. There's a lid for every pot, as my grandmother used to say.
