I would have given him the difference. Wrangler is much more fun than a Cherokee.

Who cares what articles claim 20 sometimes are buying? She should get what she wants and can afford. Not a comparison with a Jeep and Accord.

Gawd those were great. Absolutely loved mine. Was heartbroken when I got rammed from behind at a stoplight by a drunk driver. That Jeep protected me even as it was dying. Sniffff.....

Ugh. I had that boxy Cherokee - worst vehicle I’ve owned. Backseat was cramped and uncomfortable, mediocre driver experience, more trouble than all our other cars combined. Jeep routinely makes the least-reliable lists, and the interiors were designed by people who clearly hate passengers.

I can see getting a Wrangler as a fun car, but I would never buy a Jeep as my everyday ride.

Thanks for sharing. I find mine really comfortable. Plenty of room in the back too. Its really fun to drive so I'm o sure the mediocre experience. Its not a car or cushy ride but its not supposed to be as its not a car, its a truck and rides like one.

I’ve driven Wranglers as my daily since college. First a 97 and now a 13. If you are going to get a Jeep, get a real one.

I have a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee High Altitude with the 5.7 and 4x4. I love it and have had no issues. It’s fun to drive, sits up high as well as raises a few extra inches or lowers when I park. Security features are good.

The only other car I considered was a 4Runner. FWIW, my last vehicle was a Silverado.

And yet, I loved mine and wouldn't have traded it for anything. Weird how you think your experience is the definitive one for everyone though. I guess that's just the filter you view the world through. Cool cool ....

Crosstrek is more youth friendly than an outback. Very safe and relatively inexpensive too. Comes in weird young people colors like baby blue and orange.

My Cherokee is orange and I am not exactly young. There appear to be about 3 or 4 this color in my part of Fairfax county. Yes, it cost more. No, I am not worried about resale. Drive it until the wheels fall off.
