Go get your tubes tied.

Her body, her choice. She doesn’t want an IUD or her tubes tied.

(Shrug) No sex for him.

No sex for her, either. See the problem? All you ninnies carrying on like this is some great punishment for him aren’t seeing the forest for the trees.

I couldn’t relax enough to enjoy sex while worrying about getting pregnant, so giving it up wasn’t much of a sacrifice. Things were great once DH got a vasectomy and we could start having enjoyable sex again.

OP here. I’ve decided not to get the IUD and file for divorce instead. Thanks to everyone for your insight. Best wishes.

You may want to rethink that. If you are filing for divorce then you certainly want to protect your self from an unwanted pregnancy from some rando.

I've always felt the husbands not wanting a vasectomy are just wanting to leave their options open for when they divorce a woman and find a younger chick who wants kids.

Just the opposite for me. I knew my marriage wasn't going to last and was more than willing to get a V so I didn't accidentally get her pregnant again, and when I was ready to see other women, there wasn't going to be any issues with pregnancy. Once we separated and she started dating, she had to go get herself fixed.
