Don’t say that on the Special Needs board. Just don’t. You have no idea what you are talking about.

What???? That’s plenty of food. What type of gluttonous people are you inviting that you need more than that? It’s just wasteful and promotes obesity

I think that’s more than enough food. People would have a slice of pizza, some salad, and some fruit. Heck, most of the women won’t have anything other than a couple of bites of lettuce. Healthy, filling, and delicious.

3 pizzas is 24 pieces for 45 guests...

Well, I know that Karen, Rebecca and Larla will only have one slice each, if any at all. Everyone else gets 2.

Try again...

2 bites. To go with the 2 bites of healthy filling fruit and lettuce.

Honestly this sounds appropriate for fit and normal bodied people.

Having a kids birthday at any of these times? Feed the kids pizza.

10-11:30, 10:30-12, 11-12:30, 11:30-1:00, 1:2:30
4:30-6, 5-6:30, 5:30-7, 6-7:30, 6:30 -8

Stingy to serve pizza to the kids? Have your party between 2 and 5.

Don't be cheapskate and serve only a cupcake and juice. It is not that expensive to order 2 pizzas, double cut it and serve the kids. Kids have different schedules on the weekends and some have lunch only at 1pm, some may have practice in the morning, hurried through breakfast and come directly to your party at 10am.

You can forget about the adults, your prerogative. Feed them if you wish or don't feed them. But absolutely feed the kids.

Taking twins TO a birthday party? Give the birthday kid a bigger gift from the twins or do 2 gifts.

Going to a birthday party FOR twins? You can bring a gift just for the twin your kid knows.

Do you need to give goody bags?

If you want to make the kids happy, give them
If you want to make mommies and daddies happy, don't give them.

My kid always had his parties from 2-4 and there was always pizza and cake. And goody bags (for the kids, not the parents!).

Your HHI is apparently $300K. You’re really going to agonize over $5 worth of chicken/eggs/ takeout?

Two days before a major holiday is not the time to decide to teach your u grateful kid a lesson by making them volunteer for the holiday. These organizations exist, and need help, 356 days a year. Most actually need your help move on a random Tuesday in February, than they do on Thanksgiving. Stop using poverty as a lesson, and start actually helping.

I wish someone could get this through to DH. Christ almighty. He spent 20 minutes today wringing his hands over whether we're really saving money by buying certain things from Costco. But he buys a new car, each one more expensive than the last, every year. AAAAHHHHHHHHH

You CAN cook and freeze ahead items for thanksgiving dinner. Don’t listen to all these Martha Stewart wannabes who claim otherwise.
