NO BLACKFACE. EVER. EVERRRR.

Yes, even brown face makeup on a white person will be considered blackface by many.

Don’t do it. This means you, Karen.

Unless your Lt. Governor is a rapist. Then you can get away with it because there's no one to replace you with.

Well, yeah. That goes without saying.

Y’all missed the revelation this week about the governor of Alabama in blackface. I think she’s probably going to get away with it too.

You’re right. I hadn’t heard of this.

She is 74 years old and did this skit 52 years ago in college.

It wasn’t right then either! Let’s not act like a half century ago, blackface wasn’t racist. Having done something racist decades ago doesn’t mean it wasn’t racist then.

Who cares. Get over it. Move on. 52 year was a long time ago. People make mistakes. People grow.

Except usually the don’t actually change their mindset, just their externals —particularly when it is politically expedient to do so.

Don’t say that on the Special Needs board. Just don’t. You have no idea what you are talking about.

What, no, definitely do! Just give us a minute to get some popcorn and a liter of cheap vodka first. It'll be a wild night!

A shocking number of parenting problems can be resolved by taking away electronic devices.

Even more parenting problems can be prevented by not giving elementary school kids iPhones in the first place.

And just because Larla has a new iPhone X doesn’t mean your kid needs one.

Chik-Fil-A has the best chicken sandwiches and milkshakes in the universe. It is a very successful business.

Don't forget waffle fries! Yum.

A shocking number of marriage problems can be resolved by taking away electronic devices.

FTFY

Also, it's very hard to enforce screen-free time when one parent is modeling screen addiction. So if you won't put the phone down to save your marriage, consider doing it so that your children understand that they are more important than your notifications.

It's this tacky .. - yes
Am I being petty ... - yes
Should I be mad ... - no
Should I buy ... - no, I have a better way to spend your money
Help me ... - use Google or hire a professional
Should I eat this ... - it's probably fine but since you started this thread you are an anxious type so just bin it for your mental health

Every single issue discussed on DCUM - Every. Single. One. - is easily answerable with one, and only one, simple phrase:

It's called parenting!

Don’t use styrofoam plates for Thanksgiving.

Or anything else, for that matter.

What???? That’s plenty of food. What type of gluttonous people are you inviting that you need more than that? It’s just wasteful and promotes obesity

I think that’s more than enough food. People would have a slice of pizza, some salad, and some fruit. Heck, most of the women won’t have anything other than a couple of bites of lettuce. Healthy, filling, and delicious.

Honestly this sounds appropriate for fit and normal bodied people.

"Fit" and "normal bodied" is an oxymoron in 2019 America.

There is only one Ivy League.

Vaccines are the best way for your kids to actually make it to childhood.

Whittle School isn’t a thing yet.

Yu Ying is fine but hardly superb.

Brent is only “good” because all the browns, sorry OOB, have been phased out.

Ugh “adulthood.”

That’s what you get for typing that blasphemy against Chik-Fil-A! And I have at least 4 gay votes in my circle for Chik-Fil-A over Popeyes sandwich

Huh? If you’re fit, you’re def normal. If you’re overweight you need to do something about it

PP didn't say that on the Special Needs board. Do you get it?

If something is said in the majority of other fora, the intended audience/people we are talking about are neurotypical and developmentally typical. So yes, there doesn't need to be caveat-caveat-caveat, exception-exception-exception.

There is one Special Needs forum. Hopefully, people respect that and either don't post there, or are exercising good judgment and providing context when they do post there. But outside of that board, we don't need to act like we are posting in that board.

NP. I think you just wanted a reason to use the word “fora”.
