Can you even imagine being in her shoes? The whole damn world knows your personal business? Not to mention being in legal peril.

She didn't deserve to be a pariah forever. However, what she did was pretty bad. A married man and the president of the U.S.

She should have stayed over seas and moved on. She's only embarrassing herself now and once again her family.

She didn’t deserve to be a pariah at all and was the not the one abusing their position or cheating on their spouse. The worst thing she did was trust Tripp. She shouldn’t have to move, and profiting off what the public, Clinton, and the GOP did to her is not embarrassing. Good for her for taking control of the narrative.

Shame she’s had to spend twenty years of her life as an outcast while Bill (and Hill!) were able to put it behind them and reign as the ideological figures of the Democratic Party. Bill Clinton, for all his charm and brilliance, is a womanizer and possibly a rapist. I will definitely be watching.

I am TOTALLY with you.

I was working in politics back then and was in close contact with both Bill and Hillary. Bill is a complete sleaze and Hillary is a snake. It is easy to see how someone like ML would get taken in by the POTUS role and the smarm of Bill. The American public fell for his act and his smear campaign against her.

It is wonderful that people are finally waking up to the fact that Bill was the one who was wrong and ML was the victim. Even if Bill didn't use force ML he used his position to compel her. Disgusting.

Unfortunately now ML has lost 20 years of her life AND every time someone hears her name they are reminded of how she was victimized. I am so glad that things are turning around for her.

Not to put to fine a point on her suffering, but Monica has made multi-millions off being the intern who gave a single blow job to the president.

$500,000 for the first book
$1,000,000 for her first public interview (Barbara Walters)
$200,000 for the Monica Lewinsky line of handbags
$300,000 for her Jenny Craig endorsement
$250,000 for her television gig
$12,000,000 for her second memoir (O.O)
$1,000,000 for the Netflix biography deal
$750,000 for the assorted guest appearances she'd done over 10 years on places like Jimmy Kimmel Live

https://slate.com/human-interest/2012/09/monica-lewinsky-s-book-deal-12-million-is-a-lot-of-money-and-yet-we-still-feel-bad-for-her.html

Not saying she's wrong. I applaud her for getting her money, but let's not pretend she hasn't done well for herself off the scandal.

Except for the $12M deal, that's not a lot of money for decades of working. Her career abruptly ended and she was enmeshed in scandal, labeled a slut. I wouldn't want her path even if it came with the money.

LOL never change, dcum, never change

Monica is now rich and a feminist #metoo folk hero to the younger generation. Some of you all sound a smidge jealous tbh.

That Feldstein girl is very dowdy-looking. Bill Clinton, surely, was a womanizer, but I don't think even he'd fall for her.
Monica, on the other hand, at her heyday, was attractive, no questions asked.

Monica is still gorgeous. Her skin!

While I agree with this, Monica was and is attractive. She was not viewed that way during the scandal, there were many jokes/comments about her looks at that time.

This is true0 i was maybe a sr in high school at teh time and people basically said she looked like a cow bc she was chubby and had black hair and that creamy white skin. She was not heralded as some sort of sexy femme fatal like that women what's her name that worked for ivanka trump and became DJT's white house advisor. Ppl were like jeez she's hideous, she took a lot of shit b/c clinton was super popular and that included late night hosts calling her ugly. No-one thought she was pretty back then- this was the kate moss era of pretty, herion chic and monica was routinely referred to as "healthy" and a heifer. I admire her for NOT changing her name and skulking off, that pervert clinton should be ashamed and she was totally taken advantage of. Why the heck should SHE act ashamed, im so gad that people are realizing that she wasn't the bad actor in this situation.

But she’ll probably be nominated for an Emmy anyway because that’s what the PR machine is pushing.

Ok, which one of you DCUM parents who are defending Monica would want to have your DD known as the intern who blew the Prez under his desk? Not what I sent her there to do.

This was a straight up Hollywood nepotism role. The industry keeps trying to make Feldstein happen but she’s not talented.

But spot on nonetheless.

She wasn’t forced to do anything against her will. She was an adult who behaved inappropriately. So was he. He was more irresponsible and inappropriate given his power, but she wasn’t purely a victim.

Most parents would be disappointed with their daughter.

Agree. And her skin is luminous.

I have always been somewhat obsessed by how pretty Monica Lewinsky is. Her hair, her skin - she's just a very, very attractive woman. Casting Beanie whatshername is an insult. Apparently, the two of them are very close now, but I wonder if Monica could have found someone who resembles her more.

+1. She is of course responsible for her own behavior and the choices she made. But it's good that finally people have started to see Bill's actions in a more negative light. I don't feel like he was ever held accountable for his own recklessness and for his treatment of Monica.

Honestly if I was Monica I’d want someone more attractive to portray me. This girl just has NO likeness to her whatsoever!!! I give her credit to Monica that she’s not vain. Aside from looks, she doesn’t even act like Monica!
