Ryan Murphy’s FX show that covered OJ and Andrew Cunanan has announced its next chapter.
“I told her, 'Nobody should tell your story but you, and it's kind of gross if they do,'" Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter in April 2018. ‘If you want to produce it with me, I would love that; but you should be the producer and you should make all the goddamn money.'" Will be based on Jeffrey Toobin's best-seller A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/amp/live-feed/monica-lewinsky-produced-impeachment-set-as-next-american-crime-story-at-fx-1229819?__twitter_impression=true |
| I love that series. So well made. And the stories pulled from the headlines make me feel thirtysomething all over again! Just sorry it won’t premier until September 2020. |

Ugh that should be PRODUCED by Monica Lewinsky.
And, starring Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, Beanie Feldstein as Lewinsky, and Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones. |
| And who is gonna be Bill Clinton?? |
|
The real Monical lewinsky is way prettier than the actress pictured here. And no one can play Linda Tripp better than John Goodman. Unfortunately, because of the idiot who is the POTUS now, there is no shock value to this story anymore. Russian whores raining golden shower on the dotard, dotard cheating on his postpartum, much younger, nude model, 3rd wife with Stormy the porn star, Epstein supplying young kids while partying with Dotard, dotard boasting about grabbing p**sies, all of these things have left no shock value and interest in Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.
I feel bad for ML but if she was a Kardashian and had a great momager like Kris Jenner, she would not have wasted her life hiding in shame for am "Outercourse".

Slick Willie was getting blowjobs from Monica while ordering air strikes against Bin Laden. And don't forget Juanita Brodderick and Katherine Wiley. I think a lot of people will watch this. Its not just about "shock value. Trump was a friend and donor to the Clintons back in the 90s. It's political intrigue at its best, and its all still very relevant to what's going on now with the Epstein case. Just wait until all of the previously sealed documents are unsealed, and names start dropping. Personally, I'm hoping to see the reputations of a lot of sleazy rats get destroyed for what they did. Trump, Clinton, Dershowitz,....whomever. Sex scandals in politics never get old....and we ain't seen NOTHING yet. |
| John Goodman must play Linda Tripp for this to have any success. |
Agree |
| Sarah Paulson as Linda? No, just no. |
Really? I think Sarah Paulson can do anything. Amazingly talented. |
|
I love Sarah Paulson, but as Linda Tripp? I just don't see it.
She was 100% Marcia Clark for the OJ series. Sometimes I even forget that that isn't the real Marcia when I see photos of Paulson as her. I'm excited for this, though! As much as Ryan Murphy made a mess of Glee, he's fantastic at these miniseries. |
| It’s terrific that the narrative has changed so that we see the Monica Lewinsky occurrence for what it was. Shame she’s had to spend twenty years of her life as an outcast while Bill (and Hill!) were able to put it behind them and reign as the ideological figures of the Democratic Party. Bill Clinton, for all his charm and brilliance, is a womanizer and possibly a rapist. I will definitely be watching. |
Agree, but why would you think that all those women would be lying about what Bill Clinton did to them? |
|
Agree with PP about Paulson's brilliance as Marsha Clark.
I think she pull off playing Linda Tripp. I worry that because Paulson is so likable, her portrayal of Tripp might be sympathetic. Tripp deserves NO sympathy, and I'd like to see her portrayed as the nasty piece of work that she is. |
| This show's a first: first time the real person is better looking than the actress picked to play them -- Monica's much more attractive than the actress. |
