Teenage girls not wearing bras

Anonymous
Teenage girls do not wear bras because it is all about their sexual power. They like the attention they get from men and they can claim that they are doing it innocently. Most teens would not do so and the ones who do it have also some sort of sexual abuse, neglect and grooming in their past.

I don't look at men to see if they are wearing tighty whities or boxers, why would I stare at teen girls' chests? It's disturbingly impulsive behavior, perhaps something to bring up to your doctor or therapist.

If the man is walking around in public without pants or is naked or is wearing only his underwear, I am sure I would stare in disgust and then report him to the police. Do not make it a gender issue. Sexual organs, breast, ass - they need to be covered. For hygiene and for modesty. Since men usually do not have boobs, they can go shirtless on a beach, but I will absolutely expect a man to be wearing a shirt in public place.

Completely agree. It’s mind boggling to me how these posters will argue her body her choice what to wear and in the next breath act as if any man who looks in their direction is a pervert or is “leering.” You put it out there, people (men and women alike) are going to look. Period. It’s not appropriate. Why is modesty so reviled in DCUM-land?

I guess I see this most basically as a "what reactions do you want" issue. Its unrealistic to wear, say, a shirt with words on it, and not expect people to read the words at least sometimes.

Its unrealistic to wear a bright red dress (of almost any style) to work and not expect someone to turn their head and as you walk by.

There are things that simply get attention. After living on earth for a while, you figure out what things get attention and sometimes that affects your choices.

Its a learning curve for girls and women regarding appearance choices. I dont believe most boys or men have to give it the same amount of consideration. Right or wrong, girls and women are constantly looked at by everyone.

As to why any one person makes any particular choice in their dress, whether teen or adult, is really something we cant know of a stranger. Im not seeing the point of judging. I introduced my tween daughter to sports bras because she didnt like the feeling of her budding breasts bouncing. Now that she is 13 she has figured out she likes to be home without a bra on but when she goes out she always puts on a bra.

Breasts are not sexual organs. They are mammaries. Plus, no one said that the breasts were exposed just not encased in bras under their clothing.

This comment is just plain stupid.

Yes, some people will be disgusted, some will avert their eyes, some will stare to make them uncomfortable and many others will masturbate recalling it. Yes, they might get harrassed and some men will justify this "sluttiness" to molest or stalk them. All of these scenarios have one thing in common - free will!

Everyone is free to do what they want. I will never encourage my daughter or any other female that I care about to be so stupid.

All of this happens to teenage girls even if they are wearing a bra.

He wondered if the guys could discuss not wearing underwear without repercussion.

Anyway, yes OP it's a thing. Probably not the nest thing to discuss in class though.

Does your son actually want to go without underwear, or is a trumped-up grievance to attack women?

you have issues.

Specifically he was wondering if the guys could discuss ball sweat without getting into trouble. (Not likely at his school) The girls were mentioning boob sweat.... no problem.

I would think the girls discussing crotch sweat wouldn't fly at school either.

That is exactly how their body is supposed to work, after all.

Sounds like those boys are the ones with a problem.

x100.

There is nothing wrong or unnatural about a teen boy getting an erection at the sight of breasts.

X 1000

And to add, they get erections whether boobs are showing or not. It's part of being a teen boy

I hated my breasts since I was ~13 and wouldn't be caught dead without a bra. Didn't stop harassment and assault.

I just showed this thread to my 18-year-old daughter who rolled her eyes and refers you to the following link where none of the models are wearing bras.

What are talking about the whole body is a sexual organ (or mix of organs meant to help facilitate procreation)

It was a thing in the 60’s hippies, 70’s disco, and the 90’s halter tops. Even Cameron Diaz didn’t wear bras in Something About Mary.

Very common. Who cares?

Mine have been used for many more years for sexual pleasure than for feeding babies. Pretending that they aren't sexual is ridiculous. Argue about the taboo surrounding seeing them, and why it's okay to see men's but not women's, fine, since men's also have the ability to give sexual pleasure. But let's stop pretending they have nothing to do with sex.

Yes, people will continue to use misogynistic stereotypes to justify gross behavior. Including you.

Jiggling tits will get attention of some sort every time. Count on it.

Flashing ankles will get attention of some sort every time. Count on it.

Butt crack showing? Boys and girls sent home.

Do boys get sent home for no bra or cleavage showing?

Do flat chested girls get sent home for no bra?
