You walk into the shops at Rodeo Drive and everyone makes a big deal of you. You pick what you like and they carry your new Hermes bags, 5 pair of Louboutin and earring from Harry Winston to your waiting Bugatti Chiron....and it’s 11 am on Friday because you know...you do not have to work. Now you can continue to live like this or go back to your job on Monday. What would it be?

It seems like I’ve been thinking about this problem all wrong. Do you think a 47 year old man has a chance of bagging one of these guys? I mean, I’m fit, funny, handy around the house, etc. It sure would be nice to just stay home on Monday.

I’d never make it on to the plane to LA in the first place. I have a body horror thing with being touched sexually by someone I have no attraction to. Makes me physically ill just thinking of it.

Even the women marrying the older rich guy is not marrying solely for money. If they guy was abusive, a total jerk, etc. she probably would not marry him. The fact that he has money means she may be willing to compromise on other things (e.g. age, looks, etc.).

How is expecting someone to be able to support him/he self an income requirement? I would call that adulting. But back to the original question. It’s not if a woman would marry a much older guy for his money - it’s if the older guy is either deluding himself or doesn’t mind being married for his money.

There is a certain level of wealth and a lifestyle that comes with it that is probably unfathomable to most of you. You may think you have an idea of it and what it's like from watching TV or movies, but until you've truly been exposed to it and can see first-hand what it's like to live at such a level and everything that comes with it, it's probably very difficult to truly know what you would do if you had the opportunity to marry into that lifestyle, especially if single and unattached.

I am not implying everyone would sacrifice principles just to marry well. And not everyone wants to be loaded or cares about the lifestyle. But it's easier to take the higher road when you don't have the choice.

I really am a genius and this is nothing new. The pre-nup would be pro-rated, like a marriage warranty in reverse. We divorce our first year, she gets almost nothing and it's a sliding scale after that through 20 years. You want the big payout, stick around until I'm dead.

Seriously. If you need a pre-nup then by definition you are NOT "fine with it".

I don't understand what you have written. I'm totally fine with a hot young thing wanting to marry my rich old ass. I'm not fine with her investing just a year or two in order to reap a cash windfall I've worked for since long before she was born. Of course I want a pre-nup and if she is serious about her love for my saggy balls, she should be fine with that.
