Is it wrong to day dream about being a trophy wife?

The thing about being a trophy wife is you are not allowed to have your looks degrade. Because there will be another 20 something around the corner. So, you need to work out regularly. You need to keep the skin wrinkle free. Etc.

As for sex, well, it is on his terms. Your full time job is to make sure you are always desirable for him. And, you have to figure he is having affairs.

I've earned the right to be a trophy wife. I had a business career for 20 years, helped raise three children who are now successful young adults, ran a non profit for ten years and now I'm living the trophy wife life.....with the same husband of 35 years. I'm pursuing an art hobby, I've taken up golf, I travel a lot with my husband, have a winter home in Florida, DH never questions my spending (I'm actually frugal which helps) and I'm really enjoying life. Does my DH want a younger model? No way and I often ask him! He knows I'd take half his net worth and our kids would reverse disown him! Finally, I still show well, can glam it up and I still love sex 1-2 times a week. I may no longer be a hard body but I know how to use what I have.

Oh my gosh are you serious?

One day women will learn that the worse insult ever is NOT "your man will leave you".

If he leaves I get half of a huge 401k, child support, alimony and my substantial premarital assets- l never need to work again.

My husband is a great guy and I love him so much- but if you think your job protects you from being cheated on you are nuts.

Why hasn't he "earned the right" to be a trophy husband? You might think you're a trophy wife but you're just a retired wife.

Trophy wife here- it's boring AF, and you're in the position where your DH can treat you like crap and demand whatever he wants, and you're stuck. All the other trophy wives I know have this problem, DHs are complete jerks and there's not much they can do. I'm trying to start a career so I can support myself, and my DH is kicking and screaming every step of the way because he knows then he has to play nice or I'll leave. I often fantasize about my ex, who made little money but was the sweetest person ever.

That being said, the older guys DH works with never divorced their wife for a younger model. Instead, wife sticks with it 20 years, raises the kids, gets a bunch of cosmetic surgery, gets a degree, then divorces him and gets a ton of money.

Wait, you also say this to the 37 year olds who had a career and then decide to SAHM to further their husbands' careers. But a page back someone told this kind of wife that she was NOT a trophy wife. So which is it?

Well "sista" I'm just happy to be finally living the life of a trophy wife without being a much younger second wife. In terms of cheating he's never given me a reason to believe he might be and I do my best to never give him a reason to want to. You might try that yourself sista.
