Old People Candy

Non pariels. The ones that are pastel greens and pink and yellow. Love those. I also used to love those little Wedding mints that seem to always be served along side a dish of peanuts. I had some recently, but the killed my stomach.

Royals, or something like that? I'd forgotten about those, but loved them as a child!

Remember when there were always big open bins of brachs candies in the grocery store? There were always several bins of those caramel things.

Yes! Why don't they have those anymore? Or the red-dyed pistachios? You'd get a little bag of those, and then go with your mom to write a check for the groceries

I'm a PP. I was in the grocery store yesterday and the older, not ancient though, lady in front of me paid by check. I was very surprised but I guess I shouldn't be, checks still exist.

My debit card was jacked so I will be writing checks at the store until my replacement card arrives in 2-4 business days.

My great grandmother (born 1899) always had lemon drops and my grandfather always had a jar of jelly beans.

Red pistachios were from Iran, so the US stopped importing them. They dyed them red to cover up splotches from the harvesting process that they used in the Middle East.
