I'm the PP who said no and it was about missing the feelings. What's bolded is exactly what happened with me. I made my AP into everything I wanted/needed at that time. The things he said, he did, I manipulated them into what I wanted. Therefore, of course we had an amazing connection...of course he was my soulmate...because he was a fantasy transferred onto a real person. My H couldn't compete with what I'd built up in my head.

Nobody could. Are you still married? What I would love to know is where these people get the time and energy for this stuff and get away with it.

Obviously they find the time by stealing it from their spouse and kids, yet another reason affairs and the people that get involved in them are so despicable

Work travel. I'm out of town anyway. I can spend my evening watching bad movies alone in my hotel room, or I can spend them with an AP. Doesn't take time away from DH or my job, either way. And no, I don't arrange trips for this purpose, just take advantage of opportunities as they arise.

Do you even have an ounce of guilt? Sure doesn't sound like it. I hope you get caught.

No, not at all. All I did was worry about those exams. I got a three on one of them and still think about it, but I don't miss it.

It has been years, but I still love to see my wife suffer over her affair. I know that's really petty and sadistic to bring up how she got used, but whatever.

It's sad, I have multiple friends that did the same.

My married best friend I've known since high school decided to rekindle a thing she had her first year in college. I didn't find out until after the fact.

Her husband was home with their 3 little kids, she said she was going shopping in the city next to where they lived for surprise birthday gifts. She really was meeting her boyfriend for lunch and dessert, if you know what I mean.

3 hours later she was found in her car with 5 bullets in her head, boyfriend with a self inflicted wound dead near the car.

Why marry if you want to cheat ?

It takes a long time to get over it, so why suffer alone?

I feel really bad for the husband. If I had a wife that got killed while cheating, I would probably be indifferent. The problem took care of itself. Except, having three kids is a different story. How do you even explain some shit like that to a child?

So I guess you stayed with her and she ultimately confided the whole mess to you? Same here. Promises to be there for her. The whole nine yards. It's definitely ok to derive some joy from her pain. Stupid people.

That sounds like she was breaking up.
