My daughter is 19. She does not act like this.

Head in the sand. Unless your daughter is with you 86,400 seconds, 365 days of the year you only think you know what your daughter is or isn't doing.

its been a loong time since i was 19 and i don't have a daughter or know yours but i would never be so naive to think my kid isn't dancing/dressing provocatively, hitting a bong/bottle with friends. that's dangerous.

What about all the kids who don't behave that way?

+1

SO many kids that age do NOT dress that way or behave that way. I was a kid like that. So were my friends. The "popular" girls dressed and acted like that. Its dangerous to normalize unhealthy and unseemingly behavior among the young.

Word.

The Bush twins were ten times worse and were WILD. No one really cared.

I don't see anything wrong with these pics, do you people live in caves? Should she be wearing a full length high collar gown and sitting on a pedestal at Lollapalooza rather then being a normal teenager and dancing at a concert?

They weren't "worse" .. They just got caught more than Malia has been. They were also freshmen in college when they had their citations for drinking. Big difference

Of course she should act like a normal teenager. But why are you all giving her a pass on smoking weed just to be a normal teen?

Freshman in college is the same age as Malia now. She would be a freshman in college this week had she started college in time. So no, not a big difference

Pray tell, what is the appropriate attire for a sweltering, all-day, outdoor festival? Perhaps you'd feel more comfortable if she were wearing long sleeves and pants in the terrible heat. Or maybe a burqa?

I'd feel more comfortable if she respected her parents and didn't tweak like that in public. Even if her father wasn't the President, this is disrespectful for a young lady to exhibit with the chance of her own father having to watch it, shame on her.

Seriously? You never danced? Never shook your booty AT ALL? Ever. You never had a drink? I am square as hell/vanilla as they come, but I had a drink or two before 21 and danced at parties and concerts.

Besides, based on her dancing, she just started twerking at the concert. Give her a break.

+1. FFS, find bigger, actually important things to worry about.

Twerking is trashy and hoochie. How many of you would want your daughters' twerking at the clubs?

I'd be sad for her if she didn't. I hope my daughter has many, many experiences, including dancing with friends, twerking, laughing and smoking pot. As it is, she's a great student, good friend and sister, and strong athlete. I hope she has many fun experiences, the more the better. She has a good head on her shoulders and my bigger concern is that she regulate herself too much and miss out on fu on and self exploration for fear of what people think.

Hell I twerk and smoke pot.. Let the girl be she's finding herself as a young adult

Do you think she'll bring home a white boy like susan rice or a black guy home to meet the parents? I'm curious about her taste in men.

I think she'll bring home a white man. She's been around rich white kids her whole life.

Nope. I'm betting highly educated black guy. They do have those at Harvard, you know.
