| There's still just no real motive for the accused to do this either. Anyone could "just snap," I suppose, but something usually has to happen to precipitate that. |
|
The preexisting injuries may have made the baby extremely fussy; maybe she cried pretty constantly and was hard to take care of as a result. Poor little thing.
I think that's the piece that has me, and many others, perplexed. How could abuse have gone on for a while without anyone noticing? There are a lot of questions here. |

How is the brittle bone disease diagnosed? Genetic test?
|
| Was the blood on the stroller and wipes her blood? Didn't the guy have a big cut over his eye in his mug shot? Injured before the arrest or was that a gift from the police? |
|
I noticed he looked kind of beat up in his mug shot too. Wondering how that happened.
What I keep thinking also is kind of strange is how the baby came to the daycare by 8 a.m. and napped until about 10 or so before she choked being given the bottle around 10:30. What time must she be getting up every day to nap again at 8 a.m.? At that age, mine were napping twice a day, but usually around 11 a.m. and then again at 2:30. Given that she napped in the stroller and he attempted to feed her in the stroller, and there was blood in the stroller, I'm wondering if she was already injured when she arrived at the daycare early in the morning and was sleeping due to the hematomas, then started vomiting upon waking. |
| Have there been any updates beyond the initial articles? The facts don't really seem to add up. |
I don't know. It was just a thought. When horrible things like this happen, we just search and search for answers. |
Likely to be more information mid-week. The suspect is due in court Tuesday, I believe. |
I don't think it's strange the baby napped around 8am. My 8 month old son is an early riser and usually naps about an hour to 1.5 hrs after he wakes up in the morning- around 8/8:30am. Then he'll take two more short naps during the day. Tried to get him to take longer naps only twice a day, but baby's gonna do what baby's gonna do. Reports said this baby had bruising on her face. I would think a daycare provider would call the police upon seeing the child like that immediately- especially if there was blood on the stroller. I mean c'mon. |
Also it's the word of the accused that the baby napped and the sequence of events.... |
| I think there must be something sketchy with the parents - I just don't understand how they couldn't have noticed that she had broken bones that were in various stages of healing per the article. |
| Apparently, they are both feds. Did they live in Rockville? Since they both work on the Hill, not sure why the baby was so far away. |
Obviously people are just reacting to the news of this baby's death and the horrible *fatal* injuries that were noted in the charges against the daycare worker. Most people don't know these parents or this daycare provider. But as parents we know that a 6 month old baby to have broken bones in various stages of healing means that something very significant was going on in the life of this little child. Babies don't get broken bones from neglect. Something was causing these injuries. And whatever that something was needs to be discovered. |
What is wrong with you? Go away.
|
| I also wondered if some of the baby's injuries might not have been caused by the CPR attempt. Obviously not all of them, but just wondering. |
