This whole thing is so terrible, and i also had the same questions as many others (how did the parents not notice!?). No longer feeling bad about my underemployment due to the time off i took to stay home with my kids, and wish maternity leave in this country was prevalent and generous

As PP said it seems like she was only there a few weeks. One of the articles said that the parents called the doctor about the leg swelling and were advised to wait a few days to see if it went down, but a few days later she was dead.
