1. When does waitlist movement actually start? I'm assuming it wouldn't start until May, right? Due to the enrollment deadline of May2?

2. For PK4 We are waitlisted at 8 schools, all with numbers less than 20 (a couple with numbers less than 5). If we are offered and accept a spot at one of the schools, would we remain on the waitlist for our higher-ranked schools or be taken off all lists?

Thanks!!

Yes, you stay on all the waitlists above the school you were matched with, even after you enroll.

Why do some wait lists (e.g. Bridges) move so much and others don't?

Because people want some schools more than others.

Waitlists are already moving as people accept their matches. That removes them from wait lits of schools they ranked lower than where they were matched.

Waitlists also move when someone accepts a match and that gives his/her sibling a preference, moving those with no preferences down the list.

#26 at Inspired Teaching, #57 at Yu Yung #53 at Creative Minds. For PK3. Do we have any chance at Inspired Teaching? We have a place at a very good and convenient private preschool, but we'd love to save the money!

Not much.

What do you mean by not much? Single digits? Into the teens?

My guess is yes single digits. I do know of a rising Pk4 kid moving out of state at IT so there will at least be a little movement. Good luck.

but that family may have already told the school they were not returning. so that spot would have been accounted for in the lottery.

No. They literally just found out they were moving.
