So let's talk waitlists....

Bridges got into the 80s I *think* last year judging by where we started on a post lottery app - 120 or so - and ended - 40 or so. But they were taking kids as late as count day.

No help on SS.

I'm gonna guess my 110ish at CMI and 90ish at ITS are useless. IB also a bust (per last years numbers we have close to the highest IB non sibling number possible), though that wasn't a surprise and we won't be getting in, though I'm not sure I'd ever hand my kid over the DCPS again. I'm thinking a move to the burbs is in order (we rent, not as drastic as it might sound, and have limited workable options given special needs).

What grade in CMI? They are expanding (read the charter school board minutes) and the board will vote in April.

That seems doable, right?

Yeah totally! Glad to see there was so much interest in Breakthrough.

Which grade?

PreK3

So I'm guessing there won't be much movement for K waitlists, given the few slots generally available. Best option we have is #11 at Ludlow-Taylor...

Mundo Verde PK3 in the 50s. No hope, right?

Pk4. Knew it was a long shot but didn't expect it to be quite this depressing (though I don't suppose a lower number that doesn't get us in is any more comforting than a higher number that doesn't get us in).

Waitlist #14 for grade 1 at Lee Montessori.
Any chance of getting in, do you think?

If you're in the 50s in MV you got a low number and probably got in somewhere decent, no?

Stokes in the 60s. Any chance?

My lowest waitlist number was 158 at my 1st choice. Got matched with 8th choice. Everything else high waitlist numbers even into the 300's. Should I just accept my match and move on. 1st choice was Cap City.

20s was good enough last year for Lee, but not for the year before, the first year when there was less movement. Hard to tell, the new location will make it more desirable,i think.

Haynes typically doesn't have a lot of movement but seems to be less popular these days so who knows.

Posted on the other thread to, but in case people here have answers: Can someone share the link to DCPS waitlist results from last year by school? Can't find it and we have lots of waitlist numbers, would love to look at last year to know likelihood (PreK3), including IB #4 for Tubman PreK3 along with #51 at BMPV, #43 at Garrison, #42 at West.

We placed a lot of weight on commute so no, our IB which is OK but not great.

Depends on whether they take any new kids for first this year. They may as they are opening a new elementary class next year but this year they only took first graders whose younger siblings pulled them in. I know they prefer not to back fill at this point because of the difficulty in integrating kid without Montessori experience. Worth a call to the school next week. Good luck!
