Not much.

What do you mean by not much? Single digits? Into the teens?

Teens. Both are proposing to add 4 slots.

We are low teens for Hyde Addison.

What do our chances look like?

How much did the SSMA and Lee wait lists move last year for pre k 3? Do you expect similar movement this year? Waitlisted #44 and #33 respectively.

Last year we started out ~70 at Lee and ended up at #11 in October...

wow! I didn't know it moved that much. Lat year was a big year for WL movement, so I wouldn't expect that much, but it makes me think 30s is doable!

Definitely doable but don't count on it. The year before they only went to about 17, and the new location will slow movement. Good luck.

Is there a way to see how long the waitlists are for each school?

My guess is yes single digits. I do know of a rising Pk4 kid moving out of state at IT so there will at least be a little movement. Good luck.

Can't remember the range, but DC was accepted off of a 2nd round application last year, so his number must have been pretty low. This was for PK4

Happened to us, too - strange to drop one spot on the waitlist within an hour

Someone did post deadline lottery who has priority. eg: They moved IB after the lottery closed.

Yeah, they typically go pretty deep into their list if not completely through it.

but that family may have already told the school they were not returning. so that spot would have been accounted for in the lottery.

Couple of questions:

1. When does waitlist movement actually start? I'm assuming it wouldn't start until May, right? Due to the enrollment deadline of May2?

2. For PK4 We are waitlisted at 8 schools, all with numbers less than 20 (a couple with numbers less than 5). If we are offered and accept a spot at one of the schools, would we remain on the waitlist for our higher-ranked schools or be taken off all lists?

Thanks!!
