So let's talk waitlists....

What is reasonable to think you have a shot? Which schools said they may open an additional classroom?
PK3 here.

You beat me to starting this waitlist thread.

My lowest waitlist numbers for my kids are #37 for PK3 for Bridges and #15 for grade 1 for Bridges. What say ye, waitlist experts? In these days of the common lottery does Bridges still go through its waitlist like in ye golden days of old?

Waitlisted at MV in the 20s for pk4. Chances of getting in?

And, sages of DCUM, when can we expect to see waitlists start to move? Do they ever move, anymore? What schools move, and which don't?

And any hopes that Bridges would go into the 90s for their waitlist? Or that Shining Stars would go into the 120s?

You'll get in.

Lowest waitlist is #18 for Breakthrough PK3.

That seems doable, right?

How about 20s for Lee or EL Haynes? Any chance there?

Yep. Especially for a new school.

Similar numbers here and I don't have much hope. But what do I know?

Bridges got into the 80s I *think* last year judging by where we started on a post lottery app - 120 or so - and ended - 40 or so. But they were taking kids as late as count day.

No help on SS.

I'm gonna guess my 110ish at CMI and 90ish at ITS are useless. IB also a bust (per last years numbers we have close to the highest IB non sibling number possible), though that wasn't a surprise and we won't be getting in, though I'm not sure I'd ever hand my kid over the DCPS again. I'm thinking a move to the burbs is in order (we rent, not as drastic as it might sound, and have limited workable options given special needs).

How far through the waitlist do you think Van Ness will get for PK4? 50?
