| That's what I thought. We like where we are, it just doesn't have a middle school. So I think que sera sera... We will let fifth grade ride and worry about middle school... Next year. |

How much did the SSMA and Lee wait lists move last year for pre k 3? Do you expect similar movement this year? Waitlisted #44 and #33 respectively. |
Is it a DCPS School? If so, then it is post-lottery applicants applying with an IB preference. |
| 40's for West (PreK3) - any chance? |
Thanks, that explains it, happened on two spots, both DCPS. |
Possible...there's a good many sibling and IB applicants, but you could get a call late summer as things shift around. |
Last year we started out ~70 at Lee and ended up at #11 in October... |
wow! I didn't know it moved that much. Lat year was a big year for WL movement, so I wouldn't expect that much, but it makes me think 30s is doable! |
| How much WL movement would we expect for PK4 for Creative Minds and Inspired Teaching? |
| I was matched with my first choice, for all the rest of the list it says "not waitlisted". What happens if I decide not to enroll to the school I was initially matched? Do I lose the chance to be waitlisted at the other schools I chose? |
Yes |
Yes. You literally won the lottery. This is why ranking is so important. Can't ask for better than your #1 choice. Congrats. |
It'll be hard to tell because there's no good baseline. Last year all of the seats were open. As a result, there was a bit of movement. We were either 15 or 30 after the first round for PK3 (I am confusing our #s at our #2 and #3 schools) and just barely got in the day school started. One more family was accepted afterwards too. However, the principal said she might open an extra room (I'm not sure for which, PK3 or 4) depending on the number of applicants, so that might work in your favor! If you attend an open house or email the principal, you can get more info. Good luck! |
Not much. |
What do you mean by not much? Single digits? Into the teens? |
