Trump already had a great career, made tons of money and I truly think he wants to make America great again. Whereas I see Hillary lying, wordsmithing and acting better than everyone else and the rules don't apply to hear (not using the govt email system). Trump will put in top notch staff and try to make it great, whereas everything with Hillary will be political.

Here's what I don't understand: why don't trump supporters realize that the president isn't the same as a corporate CEO? Politics are important. You can't move anything on the hill without the politics. The president is not a CEO, not a boss, and not a dictator.

We have come to a point where:
* People who are pro-choice are anti-woman.
* People who believe in traditional marriage are anti-gay.
* People who believe in enforcing our borders are anti-immigrant.
* People who believe that individuals should strive to support their families without assistance of government (unless there are extenuating circumstances) are against the poor.

Just so you know, I AM a woman who is pro-choice, just attended a gay wedding (although I believe in traditional marriage), and have many friends who immigrated here (legally, mind you), and I volunteer and provide financial support for those in need (to help these folks get back on their feet).

As for the offensive video, IMO it demonstrates why WE should decide who can immigrate here instead of accepting just anyone who crosses our borders.

I certainly can. The issue for me is that many gay weddings have become religious marriages.

It's an amazing book. My mom read it to me when I was young. She experienced Soviet turmoil and repression and she passed along vigilance and an appreciation for freedom to her children. It's up there with Animal Farm and 1984. It makes you think. I hope you will read it if you haven't--Thurber is a gentle author, but speaks powerfully and presciently.

I plan to put it into my collection. Thank you for the tip.

Nah... Bernie is naive enough to believe we can have a "democratic" socialism. You see, everything he knows about socialism, he learned from books. He never experienced it IRL. He is idealistic, and his idealism is attractive to young people. But young people get older and learn that this world is far from ideal.
