Did you miss Carson's anti-Muslim comments on live tv? And we all know what Trump said.
I'm pretty sure Rubio isn't leading, but he is a bit clueless. Did you miss that he said he would like to have a beer with Malala--an 18 year old Muslim? Regardless, I'm pretty sure he isn't find of the anchor baby comments and he probably loves that video. |
Last place Jeb isn't anti-Latino...but he's anti-woman and anti-gay. And based on his policies in FL, I'm pretty sure he's anti-black and anti-poor. Did you know that he abolished the state's labor department? And you want that guy in Washington? Keep him down in Flori-duh where he belongs. |
Beautifully said pp!!! |
Jeb married a woman from Mexico and speaks fluent Spanish. Clearly hates Latinos. |
I'm pretty sure Carson explained he was talking about Sharia Law and the Constitution which Presidents are sworn to uphold not being a good fit--so he would not be able to support a candidate whose first stated allegiance was to sharia law. I'm pretty sure we all don't know what Trump said that was 'racist'. Saying 'he'd like to have a beer with Malala' is racist? These are your examples of every leading Republican candidate spewing racist comments left and right? |
You're pretty sure he's anti-black and anti-poor. he's anti woman and anti gay, just because you say so? Can you give examples of him 'spewing' statements that indicate that he's racist? thanks. |
It's an amazing book. My mom read it to me when I was young. She experienced Soviet turmoil and repression and she passed along vigilance and an appreciation for freedom to her children. It's up there with Animal Farm and 1984. It makes you think. I hope you will read it if you haven't--Thurber is a gentle author, but speaks powerfully and presciently. |
Dude, I'm at home with a sick kid and I need to get the house clean before the in-laws arrive next week, so I'm not going to drop everything to post links to Jeb's ridiculous policies that demonstrate that he is--wait for it--a republican. Abolishing the states labor department was a pretty big F you to the working class---and the working poor more specifically. You know who comprises the working poor in FL? Minorities and single moms. And you understand that he's anti-gay marriage and anti-abortion, right? I never said Jeb was spewing racist remarks...I said the leading candidates were. Trump. |
| If you are equating a clearly racist term like anchor baby with vanilla terms like courage and valor then you are clueless...or perhaps just really racist. |
Nice back pedal. I would say be prepared to lose the next election. People just aren't buying the "I'm pretty sure..." paintbrush these days. |
You kind of missed the point. Figures. |
Nope. You think you are making a valid point, but you are not. Sticking with your rationalization, there's nothing wrong with wetback, spic, chink, nigger, etc. You can't carve out a special exception for anchor baby since anchor and baby when used separately are acceptable words. It doesn't work that way. It's a racist, derogatory term. Period. |
I was a single mom for years and years. Jeb Bush sounds like he was a terrific governor for FL. I'm not sure he should be president, but FL seems like it was pretty healthy and he had an even-handed approach. There is a huge difference between being...wait for it ...a Republican who has policies you may disagree with and "spewing racial hate in public" as you claimed. Surely you can see that? Anyway, enjoy the in-laws and hope your kid feels better. |
No back pedaling. I'm intrigued by your lack of awareness and basic commonsense...as well as your delusional belief that Jeb is a leading candidate. I realize that we just might lose the election. I've observed "the best and brightest" that red states have sent to the Hill for the past several years, so I understand that a sizeable portion of the electorate is either misinformed or easily manipulated into voting against their own economic self-interest. Best of luck to you and Team Jeb. Remember when his own mother said she hoped he wouldn't run? It doesn't get much better than that. |
+1. I was struck by a poll a year ago or so. When folks in Florida were asked to name their best governors, Jeb Bush came top of the list. So, indeed, while we may disagree with specific policies, it is pretty stupid to try to demonize everyone we don't agree with. |
