To My AU Park Neighbor Who is Cutting Their Grass at 9:05A on SUNDAY 4/15...

Ozzy definitively established that it went off the rails.

OP, you don't sound very productive. By 9am on a Saturday morning I have:

completed 12 mile marathon training run
washed and folded at least 2 loads of laundry
thrown together a couple casseroles for this week's meals
prepped other chopped items such as veggies and onions for the week
taken a look at my work inbox

I think this is part of why I'm able to keep my weight down to a size 0-2, I keep moving and don't laze around the house.

You're just as obnoxious as OP. And at this point, although I find OP obnoxious, I'd rather spend happy hour with OP. lesser of two evils

Hopefully, you're joking and are really NOT that insecure.

veggies and onions - WTF?

Oh, please. So in other words, anyone who isn't a morning person like yourself must be lazy and fat?

Here's a newsflash. Night owls get lots accomplished too but they do it in the afternoons, evenings and at night, probably long after you're in bed.

Are you the same jerk that was pissed at how loud people are in the streets? You need some earplugs bro.

I'm OP--and I agree that on sweltering days this would be fine--but a beautiful peace flu Spring morning when everyone has their windows open? That is just obnoxious and you are on my shit list for doing this. Same woman turns her screaming toddlers out into the backyard, alone, like yapping dogs, at 7:00AM most Sundays so, I shouldn't be surprised.

I know this must be hard for above PP, OP, et al, to understand that you are not the center of the universe. You live where there are houses close to you and they get to decide if they want to mow their lawn, let their dogs out, or even let their toddlers scream (although on this I agree with you). If you don't like it then move someplace where your nearest neighbor is a mile away. Also, find a real problem.

I think this is misguided. We can't have everyone doing whatever she damn well pleases and those who don't like it can just move to where there are no neighbors. That doesn't make any sense and its a recipe for communal disaster. I also suspect those who feel this way would feel quite differently when it's an issue that touches them more immediately.

I'd say that when you know you have near neighbors who can hear you, you are responsible for making some serious effort not to disturb them. It seems that 9 am is set by law as a reasonable start time, though I'd think 10 would be safer because even if people aren't sleeping, they should be allowed to have quiet Sunday mornings without power tool noise. But if noisy activity start time is indeed 9 am, neighbors should absolutely make a commitment to keeping power tools, dogs, and toddlers under control before then.

LOL. You are a nightmare. I bet your DH doesn't touch you and other moms can't stand you.

Wasn't the Army's slogan, "We do more by 9am than most do all day"? Are you in the military?

I just assumed that was a fake post.

You people in AU Park need to Get Reel--then it won't matter what time s/he mows.

Do you also scrub your hands with bleach and have to count to 17 before you touch a door knob? Because I'm guessing you have some level of OCD insanity going on in your life that makes you a quivering wreck during the rest of your "productive" day. But carry on here feeling superior to others, you crazy freak.

Bet Martha Stewart and Hilary Clinton would be asking how she does it.
Anonymous
Maybe he was waiting until 9am to be considerate and because it would be way too hot to do it later today.
Anonymous
Wow. If nothing else, you should be on your way to church by then. Shame on you, OP. Lazy heathen!
Anonymous
OP here. Don't flatter yourself. Nobody is busy like Hilary.
