Do you take off work to mow your lawn or are you saying that we all need a lawn service in order to not wake you up from your morning siesta?

LOL. You sound like such a complete asshole.

I'm not a troll, but you sound like you could use a nap. And a beer.

No nap needed, and I was up at - gasp - 7:15. Try it some time OP. Maybe you're such a lazy ass from sleeping too much.

Why are you so angry? I get up at 5:00AM 5 days a week, what makes you think I'm lazy? Because I hate noise pollution on Sunday morning? You sound completely unhinged. It isn't our fault your DH won't touch you.

so you need to sleep 4 extra hours????? Half a work day. Something ain't working for you.

You feel you have to wake up the "lazy" people who want to sleep in on Sunday mornings with your diligent use of power tools. How noble of you, asshat. No wonder you can't afford lawn service...

It's working for me just fine, asshole. Why aren't you off being "productive"?

I don't think 9am is inconsiderate. Lots of lawnmowing services are in our neighborhood by then (or at least they were before the recession hit).

I realize that mowing is loud, but when is a good time. I'd prefer to not have people mowing in the middle of the afternoon when we are out playing. But I realize their lives don't center around mine. Maybe the guy wanted to water his lawn today, so he had to get the mowing done. Maybe he thought it was going to rain later. Maybe he just wanted it to be over with and thought 9am was a decent time (even in my pre-kid days I didnt' blame someone for being loud at 9am).

There are often weekends where I have - if I am lucky - one small window of time to mow my lawn. It's never morning, but I feel worse mowing it around 5pm, when people might be outside trying to enjoy eating outside - and there I am with a loud mower. So I'm not sure there is a a good time.

So take a deep breath, get up, and close your windows. And buy a white noise maker or earplugs if you have the luxery of sleeping that late and are that senstive to sound.

I'm not the who wants a ban on yard work on Sunday.

I don't know, I just feel that 9am is time to be up and around, getting things done! One tip: if you get a push mower, you'll get great exercise, and you can mow anytime without disturbing anyone, while burning mega calories. Ankle weights up the workout even more.

GL!

I also think 9am is OK
It gets too hot later on
When summer comes I will be out at 6 am

OP here--when summer comes you can start at 6 if you like--your neighbors will call the police.

9 is fine to up and around of course! Just don't blast your neighbors. It wasn't that hot today--the lawn could have been cut at 10. Idiots. There still dew on the grass at 9--cutting wet grass spreads disease through the grass and ultimately damages it.

Um, ok. Wasting tax money over lawn noises. Good job.

No, OP, I'm sure this isn't true.

It's pretty obvious you started this thread to troll around and insult people. Good for you. And good for everyone else for calling you out for being such an ass.

I never said I wanted to ban it all day. Do you even read?

Op- I get it. Tune out the jealous bastards. My 4 and 6.5 year old have always been very late sleepers. They didn't get up until 9:15 today (went to bed at 8:30). Tis is very normal for us. If we had a party with neighbors and they go down later...its been as late as 10am. think it is the fact that we are the exact opposite of lazy. We are a very active family and spend 90% of our time running around outdoors.

Our neighborhood allows construction to begin at 7am. Just about every frickin house that borders us is in some stage of renovation, major construction, massive addition. The fucking trucks start coming around 6ish with their beeping and backing up and idling while they wait until 7am to start jack-hammering and pounding, etc. it's killing us!! Especially my 4 year old.
