DCUM selfish louts on this thread hardly represent the majority opinion in the community--just the loudest and most persistent. Of course my neighbor can carry on with her daily activities--as long as it doesn't infringe on mine at that time of the morning. And of course, as I have said repeatedly, she has the right to do it. There is a difference between rights and courtesy--but I can see my point is lost on you because people should do whatever they like no matter who it disturbs as long as its legal, right? I'm glad I don't have to live near you.

It's a curious case of selfishness (my neighbors should behave in the manner I prefer), combined with disconnect from reality (that it's typical for people to sleep past 9:00) and self-righteousness (they are so rude!) Makes me glad I live next to public housing - the people who live there are so much more reasonable than they appear to be in AU park.

Yeah, I can see complaining about 7 or 8 a.m. but I think 9 isn't that unreasonable. We usually hear kids or birds long before 9 a.m. Another tip: ear plugs.
