Early voting is now open in VA for the 4/21 statewide special election

It's so funny that some of you are trying to play fair politics with Nazis. That's not how it works, they will play dirty no matter what they say. You can choose to be fair or you can choose to win.

So the solution is, destroy it more?

I mean that has been the dem playbook for 15 years.

It’s frightening the lack of self-awareness in this post.

This Amendment will pass easily.

To add insult, even Youngkin knows it will pass which is why he is completely absent.

Youngkin isn't the governor any more?

There is a WSJ article today about how VA republicans are pissed that Youngkin is avoiding the topic.

And if he stepped in, the liberals would be jumping up and down throwing a tantrum about Youngkin sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong. It appears that Youngkin isn't insane like most of our politician celebrities.

When I got the mail yesterday there were our ballots, plus this:

Everyone's entitled to free speech, but this is sleazy.

Yeah. But those districts that include the split, presently reliably D Arlington will soon turn R. Much faster VOTER growth out in the "sticks." Rural folks plus affluent R households. Arlington vote gets diluted and abracadabra 2 R Members of the House.

In the long term...T will be out of office. But the gerrymandering Dems will have given a new R seat and disenfranchised Arlington.

No thanks.

I don’t have a problem with that. Meanwhile, this is what Dems are doing:

Can’t get much more dishonest than that.

I think this is what should be plastered all over VA:

Temporary you say. Think again.

🚨As early voting begins for the redistricting referendum, Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger sent this news release claiming this would be “temporary.” Democratic lawmakers have repeated the word “temporary” as they try to sell voters on a 10D-1R map.

What’s temporary about it? Would the gerrymandered districts go back to what they are now at a certain time?

Does anyone believe four potential new members of Congress (like Del. Dan Helmer (D) who has attempted to run for Congress 3x) would be ok with going back to the current map and voluntarily give up their seat in Congress?

It wouldn't be the current map - it would be a new map determined by the 2030 census. And supposing Helmer is a sitting House member by then, it's not a given that he'd be giving up his seat.

At least that says "Paid for by the Page County Democratic Committee." Is it dishonest because it's red and features a picture of Trump?

Nobody had ever heard of Justice for Democracy.

Assuming the commission can agree on a new map. It won't.

I agree with you. All one has to do is label the “other” something repugnant and that justifies their own horrible behavior.

The poster honestly believes they are doing the right thing. Of course they are ignoring the history of humankind. But hey as long as they get back at those “Nazis”.

You act as if there are no black conservatives.

You act as if it’s alright to eliminate representation as long as it’s white people.

This is all about Northern Virginia. It is about distributing Northern Virginia voters into the rest of Virginia through these long fingers they drew. The new map puts your congressman from anywhere from Arlington and Alexandria to nearly Virginia Beach and advocating for that entire 'strip' of constituents, or from Arlington to nearly Winchester on the Northern end. In my eyes all gerrymandering with their crazy lines is bad, because it tears apart the counties and regions with their crazy lines. Yes, the Republicans started it in other States, but I've never looked at those before or after maps. This time it is about my state, my region, my county. For constituency, this is bad. The wishes and needs of Alexandria are not the wishes and needs of the Tidewater area. And with time, you will see this backfire. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Both parties are now playing stupid games and soon it won't matter who started it.
