He's okay but always strikes me as callow, with limited emotional depth. Doesn't have great chemistry with other actors, never buy him as someone deeply in love, and certainly not a father. He was a far more interesting actor when very young. |
Just say you're biased. You've made up your mind and that's that. |
Having an opinion based on having seen much of his work is not "biased," sorry. |
It's fine. I can't stand Will Smith because he's just Will Smith to me in every movie. Biases are hard to overcome. |
Just watched this yesterday, and I agree. Do not understand why he was nominated. Jesse Plemmons gave a far stronger performance. |
I don’t think you know what “bias” means. Are you an adult? |
Are you? Just because you don't like an actor doesn't mean they "suck". |
I don’t think anyone has said that he sucks. Just that he’s overrated. Either of which is a valid opinion; neither of which is “bias” - again, are you an actual adult? Did you take English in high school? |
You're so charming. |
I loved his stoner in True Romance. |
Ahem. It’s right at the top of the page. You can’t read and don’t know what words mean. Did you even get a GED? |
I'm with you. I do love Gary Oldman, Ralph Fiennes, Christoph Walz, Alan Rickman and so many others already mentioned. |
|
I agree he's pretty good.
His performance as the autistic / delayed brother in What's Eating Gilbert Grape was something that overshadowed and apparently bothered Johnny Depp. |
Oh, and that scene from Wolf of Wall Street where he's drugged out and desperately crawling to his car from the club had me glued to the screen. A pretty dumb plot scene but he really has the audience. It's funny, pathetic, painful and you think he's an awful jerk but you're wanting him to get in that car. |
It’s still not bias, dear. Just an opinion you don’t like. Sorry. |
