Focus on what you can control
Will tryouts get postponed or teams find alternative indoor locations?

Teams already know who they want, offers will go out on-time
So they are just cancelling tryouts? Solid logic. That ain’t happening. You are making a different an unrelated point.

Tryouts will happen but those already pre-id'd will get offered.
I know, this response has nothing to do with the other poster. They are asking if they think tryouts will get cancelled or moved to an alternative location. No one is asking for you to educate us on how the ID process really works.

Well why else would you ask a dumb question? Of course they will be moved due to weather.

Not of course. Some clubs are moving to alternative locations vs moving the date. So it isnt actually a dumb question, you just lack the aptitude to comprehend.

Looks like this upcoming weekend will be a wash for outdoor sports on the Eastern seaboard again.

I hate real winter, how do teams in Wisconsin and Michigan deal - lots of indoor facilities?

Any NoVA club having practice this week? Does the club have an indoor option? Curious whether anybody is lucky to be int the right club right now.

All my kids practices are cancelled 😔

Fairfax County fields are closed if any snow or ice is present and I don’t think they clear them but wait until it melts which, given the forecast, could mean no outside practice for several weeks in Fairfax.

Not that we’d be practicing outside at these temperatures anyway.

Thankfully yes. Indoor.

We have indoor practice but it has been canceled too with school closures. We’re in Loudoun so I doubt they will practice this week.

wonder if the mld next hg and ecnl teams have a practice location for these weather conditions? or is it the same as any other team?

You aren't allowed to shovel turf or practice on turf while there is still ice or snow present to avoid damaging the turf. So given the forecast, that means no outside practicing or tryouts until mid-February/.

Mid-Atlantic League Cup which was supposed to be in NC has been canceled this weekend. I bet ECNL won’t reschedule either. It’ll just be a wash.

Other than adding additional games to the Mid-Atlantic schedule, I didn't see much point in the league cup since the winner, IIRC, was only going to secure a North American Cup spot, not even a Champions Playoff spot. So, it was used to fill the MA schedule.
