Just like Trump destroyed this country in 2016 when he was president? I think not. |
Newsom 🤮 |
I think the typical voters care about bread and butter issues above anything else.
Foreign policy is for the political elite and war profiteers and social issues are distractions by Politicians. |
Trump's four years will be make or break for the Republican Party. If his four years end in mass death and chaos like Covid-19, BLM riots, J6 riot, his legacy will be ruined. If it ends smoothly, then the Republicans will likely win in 2028. |
This is correct and I see it with my own Gen Z child who is insanely liberal but absolutely abhors the combination infringements on freedom and absolutely chaos that has become the Democratic brand. Pro drug legalization but hates the smell of weed everywhere. Pro LGBTQI rights, but knows kids that change their pronouns frequently and are frustrated by the burden it puts on them. And upset that school metes out discipline for not knowing the right pronoun that week but does nothing to control disruptive and violent behavior. At the same time, they are annoyed at how bureaucratic, onerous and punitive they have made requirements to get a drivers license. There are now two intermediate levels and lots of additional requirements to fulfill that are just obvious bureaucratic nonsense. |
Fake news. Shove your BS propaganda up your bigoted a-hole. |
No, she wasn’t. You are parroting RWNJ talking points. Trump was lying about the economy. Harris presented solutions. |
I think you have this backwards. The pressure for the next four years is not on Trump. Everyone already spent four years with Trump. They reelected him because they are more comfortable with that than they are with what Democrats have to offer. The pressure for the next four years is on Democrats to present an alternative to Trump that people can get behind. So far, the only thing that the Democrats are doing is replacing their octogenarians in leadership with the unreformed progressives that helped to drive them into this ditch. I don’t think they are heading in the right direction. |
Agree. The "names" in the Democratic Party - from Newsom to Shapiro to Whitmer to Beshear - are not happening nationally. Democrats are such an awful brand they need a complete reboot. Like Obama when he was a mere state senator in Illinois. If the DNC would actually allow it, Democrats really, really need an open primary that is welcoming to candidates coming out out of left field and have the skills and charisma to compete. Democrats seem to insist on anointing their establishment next in line politicians - from Clinton to Biden to Harris, and clearing the field to make it happen. And that's not going to work anymore. The DNC and the donor class have been a disaster for Democrats. And Democrats have been crippled by local government progressives that are repelling everyone. I saw an interview a few weeks ago on CNN with a new Congresswomen from Washington State that flipped a red seat blue. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez. Such a down to earth, decent, common sense, cares about people person. I thought, yes, more of this please. Authentic. Involved in the issues of her community. Wants to make life better for people in her corner of the world - and that includes loggers and other boogeymen for progressives. I'm sure she's not running for president, but that is exactly what Democrats need. Not fricking Gavin Newsom or any other slick-haired billionaire-supported lifetime politician. |
I swear you people Posting here must be 22 years old. It’s like you just tuned into politics last year. Totally clueless. |
Yeah, and you establishment progressives and your cynical know-it-all, we'll decide for you approach has been working wonders for Democrats. |
Can you clarify what “unreformed progressives” you think are currently leading the Democratic Party? There was nothing progressive about either Harris or Walz. The idea that MAGA *isnt* extremist is laughable. |
Trump’s a two hit wonder |
Name one problem and Harris’s solution to it. |
+1 my 13 yo told me last year ago that "pronouns are gone" and that kids are not woke. they use racial stereotypes freely. boys in particular, but also some girls. |
