Black bears are docile and mostly harmless. If it is brown or white then maybe. |
Um yes. There is science behind it. I'm not saying people should poach bears to get it. But you are simply wrong (and racist?) to think that there is no proven scientific benefit. Modern investigations showed that it has a wide range of pharmacological actions with little toxicological side effect and the pure compounds have been used for curing hepatic and biliary disorders for decades. Modern pharmacological research showed that bear bile has the following pharmacological actions: (1) antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect, (2) anti-hepatotoxic effect, (3) choleretic lithagogic effect, (4) anti-liver fibrosis, anti-tumor, anti-pyretic and sedative effect, (5) anti-convulsant and analgesic effect, (6) lowering lipid and hypotensive effect, (7) anti-tussive and anti-asthmatic effect, (8) improving eyesight, (9) anti-stress and relaxing effect https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2630947/ |
Someone trying to move it off their yard without paying the $250? |

I can assure you that Black Bears native to Arlington are harmless and will not hurt you under any circumstance.
If you see one, please go up to it and say hello. They love to have their ears rubbed and will give you a hug. They pose no danger to dogs or small children. Make sure to leave food out if you see one around your home. Arlington Black Bears are less dangerous than MAGA. - Zoologist. |
You are a psycho and I feel sorry for your wife (or blow up doll) if you actually have one or both. |
And you are the authority on all bears in Arlington, HOW? |
I was wrong. You’re even stupider than I thought. Hope something awful happens to you this week. Ta ta. |
So tell me what is better about raw bear bile extract over synthesized UDCA, which has been made in laboratories since 1955? That's what modern medicine that has moved on from the last century uses to dissolve gallstones, and it has no impurities or contaminants. Or would you have diabetic children suck on animal pancreases instead of using pure synthesized insulin? Really? |
An actual zoologist would tell you that bears can be unpredictable, no matter how tame and friendly they seem. And that leaving food out causes bears to lose whatever fear they did have of humans, and associate people with food -which always ends badly for the bear, and sometimes for humans too. But you’re clearly not a zoologist. You’re just a sub-par troll, giving people really dangerous advice. Hopefully Jeff deletes your post. |
| A gun nut either shot the bear or someone drunk driving hit it. The person was attempting to hide the evidence so whatever happened is criminal in nature. |
It's organic! |
I just got laid off. Thanks! |
|
Possibly the bear darted out in front of a vehicle which hit and killed it.
Prefer that scenario over possibility of a barbaric intent to remove organ parts from the poor bear. Sheesh. |
Have you ever pulled over and put a 200 lb dead animal in a trash bag after hitting with your car? Would you ever if you did? Ever hear of anyone doing that? So i guess we can rule that out. |
This makes me want to start killing bears and eating their gall bladders. Not even joking. |
