A bear is a bear. Just because it’s in a UMC neighborhood doesn’t mean it’s still not a bear. Black bears CAN be dangerous. A woman in Frederick was nearly mauled to death by a juvenile male black bear about 6-8 years ago. Juvenile males are the exact bears we’re seeing locally. Their mothers have kicked them out to find their own territory.

Black bears occasionally kill humans. A college student in NJ was killed and partially eaten by one a few years ago while out walking on a trail with four other people

You’re a complete idiot who knows zero about nature if you think black bears aren’t potentially dangerous or even deadly just because they’re in a HHI zip code.

That bear attack in Frederick was a female Mama bear with three cubs and was attacking to protect her cubs. These are not Mama bears with cubs in Arlington.[/quote]
