There is no way the body of an adult black bear is fitting in a typical 55 gallon black trash bag. And adult black bear can weigh between 200 and 600 pounds. assuming it was average size for an adult bear in Virginia that would be about 275 lbs.


Probably someone trapped or killed a bear somewhere else, brought the body to a local Asian herbal medicine dealer, where the gall bladder and other parts with “medicinal” value were cut out, and then the cut up remains were bagged and dumped.

People freak out about bears, and there has been a bear that pops up in that area from time to time (or more than one, it’s not like they wear name tags). It shows up a few weeks ago. Some cowboy probably killed it “for safety” and dumped it.

There was a bear spotted recently in N Arl. I was wondering if the bear got into the trash bag looking for food, got tangled up but and ended up suffocating.
