Are you the ND poster whose “dog” sniffed out the bag, then you spotted what “looked like a bear’s ear” (like that’s some kind of normal, common reference point).

Just throwing stuff out there hoping something sticks.

I wouldn’t kill a bear myself but this does not make me feel sad. I find it beyond insane that the suburban jurisdictions around here think it is totally fine to have bears wandering through them. We aren’t in rural areas

Why? Bears are dangerous.

DP. You're definitely the stupid one if you think a couple of bears locally are dangerous or scary. You're obviously new here.

Sweetheart, I promise you would shit your panties if you encountered a bear in CC Hills or whatever.

I would have shot the bear too if it was on my property.

Not a regular occurrence, but not terribly uncommon. A young black bear was seen wandering around a few miles away from this location, a few weeks ago. There's usually a handful (<5) bear sightings a year.

Maybe the dead bear is the juvenile’s mother

Bless your heart, you delicate transplant. You probably freak out when you see a fox, too.
