+1. They're very unflattering and make legs look short and chunky.

Maybe your legs look short. I am all leg, so I find that shoes with a strap under the ankle or across the foot bring me back into visual proportion. T-strap Mary James are even better.

I love t-straps! They're harder to find than maryjanes. I have disproportionately long legs and love when they have a style moment.

While they aren't for me.. I don't have an issue with others who rock them.

Do you.

The current version has a strap higher up in the instep. It’s actually really practical and comfortable. I’m a fan.

I just assume women of a certain age (like my age) are wearing whatever shoe feels comfortable. Bonus points if it's slightly fashionable and appropriate to the occasion.

I don't like that look but grown women can make their own choices without mine or yours approval.

This^. If grown women can self assault their feet with stilettos, they sure can wear comfortable shoes without regard for fashion police's approval.

And they do not care what the OPs of the world think.

Grown women wear what they want to wear.
