Wow, you're so nasty. If dressing that way makes her happy instead of suicidal, what harm is she causing you?
Why do you discriminate based on appearance?

For shame, PP.

The entire costume is not age appropriate. It didn't help her mental illness, she was still admitted to the mental institution for a suicide attempt anyway.

Yep. I love them with a chunky heel.

Are you sure you didn't live next door to Pippi Longstocking?

I have a pair of Louboutin stiletto mary janes. They look great with suits.

Funny this is being brought up. I ordered a pair of Mary Jane ballet flats online and they just arrived today. I couldn’t be happier. I have a narrow heel but a wide toe box. I tend to either go half a size up to accommodate my toe box or go with a wide in my size. Because of that my foot ends up slipping out. The strap in the Mary Janes prevents this from happening so I’ve finally found a solution I tend to like the Mary Jane flats but not the heels. To each their own!

This is the pair I got https://margauxny.com/collections/the-demi-jane/products/the-demi-jane-black-nappa

+1. They're very unflattering and make legs look short and chunky.

Depends on which MJs you're wearing and with which outfit. My 20 yo DD likes the chunky platform MJs from Doc Marten. They look great on her and she's only 5'0" tall and 95 lbs.

Not my DD but this looks really cute

If they were so unflattering and make legs look short/chunky, I don't think the Rockettes would wear them so often. Scroll through the pictures and you'll see it's what they wear most often. https://www.vanityfair.com/culture/photos/2012/12/photos-rockettes-costumes-choreography

Ok I am not on the side of people arguing against Mary Janes, but obviously the Rockettes wear them so the shoe doesn’t go flying off during a high kick

Theater people know that these are called “character shoes,” and are worn on stage by many women who are acting and dancing.

Style? Taste? Fashion sense?

I hate them too, but I know they are super comfy so I don't begrudge people who wear them. I get it!
