That's the perception of the majority of the American people and the people's perception is what makes a candidate effectively weak or strong. Never before have we had the absolute worst candidate ever going up against one of the top 3 most weakest/most unpopular candidates in our history. There is no other election that comes close to this one as far as being in the worst of the worst category. We are guaranteed a president that should not, by any measure, be president for FOUR more years after January 2025. Let's just hope it isn't Trump.

If Trump wins, do you think he will voluntarily walk away from the presidency after his 2nd term ends in January 2029?

If he doesn't, we can watch him get ejected from The White House by the new prez. That would be entertaining.

You are discounting that both the courts and one of the political parties are supporting the move to an autocracy. If Trump takes office and has a compliant House (speaker Johnson is fully in the tank here) and a compliant Senate (the GOP in the senate have shown no indication of opposing Trump or Trumpism) and a compliant Supreme Court (no comment necessary) then it just takes a few key leaders in the military and the deed is done.

The ONLY thing preventing this is a Democrat victory in November.
