So you’re admitting Biden isn’t a moderate on some issues despite all your claims that he’s moderate on everything. Got it. |
|
OP: I'm a democrat. Why should I vote for republicans?
Posters: Um, I guess you shouldn't since you're a democrat? |
His position is the moderate opinion that the governing sports authorities can and will manage the issue and establish reasonable rules, as the Olympics and tennis have done, without political interference from bad-faith demagogues. Don’t pretend Republicans give a shit about women’s sports, you just keep looking for something that bigots can get fired up about. Your guys even rooted against the US women in the World Cup. |
👏👏👏 Best summary of this bizarre thread. |
Oh stop gaslighting. Honestly, it’s ridiculous at this point. |
| Thank you, OP, for your thoughtful questions. This has been an illuminating thread. |
No, because it’s not just a matter of whether they are shared. It’s also important where they rank in the list of concerns. Your positioning of these two issues as your most important marks you squarely as a moderate Democrat but not as a more general political moderate. Moderates might agree with you on the substance, but they won’t rank these issues as highly as you do. That’s the difference. You are a moderate Democrat and that’s fine. Just keep voting that way. No need to identify yourself as something you aren’t. |
Really? How so? |
+1 |
Nailed it! |
Even if I accept what you say as true, this is not even close to being a major issue considering all of hte other things going on. It's just not. One party seems to be continually (and weirdly) fixated on gender issues, other peoples' sexuality and identity but it is not the one you think it is. |
You are two of the dumbest people of my lifetime if you think this. |
Posters: the republican’s don’t have any actual policies and the few positions they have are indefensible. So… we’re just gonna stick with tribalism, mmmkay? FIFY |
| My takeaway is that unless illegal immigration and trans women in sport are my top priorities, the GOP has got nothing to offer me. |
YOU cherrypicked one small issue that most people don't care about. You cast it as something major or is a huge issue, when it isn't. As well as, mischaracterize his position on it. And you're the one complaining? Got it. And while I'm at it, GTFOH with your BS talking points. You're tiresome. |
